Cheers Mike You could ask him whether he ever recovered from the semi-final v Arsenal in March 1971. Still makes me shudder after all these years! Not a question - and I am sure you will cover it - but you can thank him for all the pleasure he gave us over his fantastic career.

What did he think was his best position.
And his favourite position.
Best player he played with.
What position would he play in the modern game.

My father and I were sat fuming that we were 2 up, Conroy was having a 'mare, and Marsh was sat on the bench. Waddo should have taken Terry off and moved Skeelsy forward to secure the victory.

Whereโs me shirt ? Iโm a shirt short . A famous Ken Dodd sketch. But what happened to his shirt shop ? Did TC insure it ? And was he ever paid in the close season on Tommy Talbots books or anyone else ?

He dropped Marsh and played Skeels at right back. Presumably to counter their winger Armstrong( I think) who in brilliant form. It was a major surprise to the Stokies. What it actually did was negate the threat of Marsh going forward which was a big deal at that time.

Skeels had a shop in Newcastle in a downstairs mall by Woolworths ( as was ) . Footfall couldnโt have been very good and I think he had to close the shop . It was around the time TC was venturing out into insurance ( think he was involved in insurance company just up from Spode factory in Stoke centre .

Not sure if my memory is playing tricks . 3-1 down to Wolves at home . 2 minutes to go . We score twice for a 3-3 draw and Eric scored the third goal . Can he remember that game ?

We were 2-0 down and scored twice in injury time (TC and then a flying header from Eric) to draw 2-2. (The point took us back to the top of the table. Unfortunately it was also the game in which Pej broke his leg). I would hope he can remember the game. It was the only Stoke goal he scored in the 1970s!

Ask him what it was like to play for Waddo and perhaps who he thinks he was like in style of play looking forward to the present day?

A few years ago I came across my very first girl friend. Now married she lived in the Westlands and the previous owner was none other than Mr Hurst. It was very convenient to the whitmore road and logistically good to get to the Anchor . Dobing went into pottery too .

How insulted did he feel when the cock with the microphone introduced him as Eric Sykes the last time he was paraded in front of the fans at the BET 365

Got a fantastic paisley shirt from that shirt bar. There was a shop selling trainers in that mall also. Well before its time! Plus it had The Grapevine where you could actually buy things that were illegal. (from under the counter of course)!! And one of the two Globe Cafes. Milky coffees were always the best.
