Or that you're full of shit? I'll let others decide........ Brown was terrible anyone with eyes could see that. If scoring a goal, winning us a penalty and being involved in other good moves/chances is terrible then here's hoping he has a few more terrible games between now and May........

Well if that is the case it’s very unnecessary. No player in any team hovering around the bottom third of the table should be telling fans to shush. I’ve never understood why players get involved in that kind of shit, it’s never going to go down well. If it is the case maybe it’s best we don’t understand. Nothing pisses me off more than underperforming players criticising the paying supporter’s. See Joe Allen, Jack Butland, Sam Clucas, Benik Afobe, Lewis Baker. They need to remember they’re being paid outrageous amounts of money much of it derived from the people paying to watch them generally underperform and should not get all conceited about it on the odd occasion that they don’t. Indeed. I sincerely hope this is the not the reason for that celebration. How is that going to help improve the situation between the players and the supporters? Its just so ill advised to do whether you are Lionel Messi or a League 2 plodder. It does make me wonder about the whole attitude of the players and if they ever give a shit. I think there has been an attitude problem at Stoke for years now, and was hoping that AN would have stamped it out by now. * *IF that is really the reason for the glasses celebration

I've got no idea why he does it but if it really is a dig at some fans who don't like him much as a player it's seriously misguided. Just take the money and let the paying customers make their own mind up whether you're to their taste or not.

I like him. Gets unfair stick on here. What’s with the glasses celebration? I took it as a dig at the fans. It's the new 'cupped ears'. Doesn't seem to rile the fans as much though, but it's basically the same thing. Why was he doing it to the Stevenage supporters when he scored in the cup then? In what possible way is it the same thing? I would say if you're having to really question whether a celebration is a dig at fans, it's probably not a dig fans because the entire thing would be totally redundant.

Left to my own devices I'd probably assume a player cupping their ears was saying you're not applauding me loud enough for what I've just done, like "is that it".

Jacob Brown vs Huddersfield in a hugely important, almost must win game. 2nd in presses. 3rd in progressive runs. 1st in touches in the opposition box. 2nd in featuring in passing sequences that resulted in a goal attempt. 3rd in interceptions. 1st in duels won. 2nd in completed dribbles. 1st in defensive duels won. 1st in successful defensive actions. 2nd in attacking duels won. 2nd in successful attacking actions. 2nd in sprints. Linked up as a passer & receiver as a wide right, a central striker and as an option around the cenre circle. Equal 1st in goals scored. Equal 1st in goal attempts. 1st in xG....by a country mile. 1st in penalties won. 1st in best celebration. YeA bUt HiS pAsSiNg iS ShItE 😂 🤪

Most of the Oatcake recognise his positive contribution without unrealistic the expectation that he should be the complete forward. It’s just the usual suspect who, mostly due to his obsession with the academy, slates him even after the other nights performance.

You pull him apart for anything he does as you’ve made your mind up on him. I take zero you say seriously because I know you have a massive bias against players who aren’t out of the academy. I’m glad we’ve got Brown, he’s our best attacking player at present, because he scores, but also puts the effort in unlike others. I didn’t have unrealistic expectations when we signed him. He has pace, is stronger than you say, scores, troubles defences and works his bollocks off, not resting on his laurels.

He was having an awful game on Tuesday and a goal doesn’t change that. I don’t like Smallbone yet he’s been my MoM in the last two games. Expecting a footballer to trap a ball and make basic passes isn’t too much expectation.

Did he get player of the year last year?
that must really have pissed off a lot
we can all see his touch lets him down sometimes (& it is sometimes not everytime) which is why he wont make the next step up but he makes up for that big time with his goals, his intelligent runs and his sheer hard work If it was just the hard work he'd be no use
as it is he's a good player at this level

If you say so, plenty also think that his contribution is valuable, like the last game getting a goal and winning a pen, but it’s opinions isn’t it, but I think that’s worthy of a higher score than a 5 😂

Campbell was by far the better out of the two tonight. Campbell had more space and looked to get at the opposition. He created Browns goal too pretty much out of nothing with a burst of pace. Thought he looked a threat, particularly in the first half. Where as Brown spent most of the first 70 minutes giving it away by either sloppy passing or poor control. He does have a habit of popping up with a goal or two though. You forgot to mention the constant harassing of his opponent and some great tackles to gain us possession. He mithered the Huddersfield rwb to death on Wednesday night forcing him to hoof it out of play or play it backwards. This comparison with Campbell is ridiculous. They both have different qualities that can compliment each other as was shown in the second goal.Think the system we played tonight suited both of them, and I hope we don't change it just to accommodate Tymon when he's fit again.

Jacob Brown might not be the best footballer but he is our best goalscorer for the last 2 seasons,is goals have been a vital part of keeping us out the drop zone, everyone thinks Tyrese is our main treat but is goals return for a bloke like him as been very poor to say the least,, he should be looking towards 15 a season and he is know where near that,
