I purposely discounted MUFC due to the extremely low number of appearances he made whilst on their books. His main career appearances have been as I said at Crewe, Wigan and ourselves. No you missed them out to make him sound wank which he most certainly is not, he gets injured alot but he is a good player.

During that time he was sent on loan to Leicester who quickly sent him back because of his poor attitude.

Stoke fans in “hating creative player” shocker. Bring back Dean Whitehead FFS. Some of the comments on this thread are fucking shocking. No doubt he’ll be gone at the end of the season, so someone else can wind you all up instead. Pathetic.
He’s been injured far too much in the last 18 months and we all know it, but there’s not a great deal he can do about it is there? Then everyone expects him to come in and play 10/10 every time. He did more than Campbell and Gayle combined yesterday despite playing out of position (obviously not in Neil’s opinion). Sadly when it mattered he made the wrong/poor choice.
Not a clue where some of you get this bollocks from about him not trying or caring. Just because it keeps getting said doesn’t mean it’s true.

It will be very interesting to see how many clubs are in the queue to sign him at the end of the season, when his contract runs out. My guess will be zero based on his injury record, unless it's a pay when you play contract, or very much, much less money than he is currently on. The reality is he misses loads, goes off injured frequently when he does play and only really puts in a real performance in around one in every five he plays. A luxury we certainly can no longer afford or should entertain going forward.

Let’s be honest. This guy gets injured walking for the Sunday Morning Papers. He should have been fucked off last year if not sooner. I’m not convinced she has the mental fortitude to play past the pain of an ingrowing toenail. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 I had one of those it was extremely painful!

Because he was injured which is what I said, he gets injured alot but it doesn't mean he's wank because he's a good player. It maybe is time for him to move on as we need players who are fit and ready every week for us but I've enjoyed watching him play for us as it's nice to see a player who can play, you know football.

Using your terminology (not mine) can you explain how I suggested that he’s “wank”. I was factual in what I said. His main career appearances have been with Crewe, Wigan and Ourselves. Plus the question I asked was where next?

When he does play his stats for scoring and assisting are a country mile ahead of any other player on our books or do such metrics not count?

It would be typical Stoke luck if he moves to another club that he’ll hardly be injured for them

At this point in time you have to start wondering if it’s psychological. He seems to take a small knock and he’s out for three weeks. So frustrating as when he gets a run of games he makes us tick.

Like a very slow and temperamental clock. Might play well twice in 24 games - if he ever plays that many. He’s simply an atrocious waste of time. (Not that most of the rest of them are any less so but he takes the mouldy biscuit because he has this very weird reputation, among some of our number, that he’s a cut above.)

It isn’t weird though is it, given that it’s demonstrably true with pesky stuff like facts? He’s injured a lot, and can’t be counted on as such, and he hasn’t seemed to suit whatever it is that Neil’s trying to do, but when he has been fit he’s been one of the best players in the division and absolutely key to us.

I keep reading that he’s our best player, but I watch him when he comes on and I see zero evidence that he is. His cameo yesterday was a case in point. Not only did he do nothing positive but he screwed up what was probably our best chance to score. He’d rather do one of his pathetic flicks than actually help his teammates score. A FUCKING GOAL. Unfortunately the football authorities, god bless them, don’t give points for flicks.

To suggest that’s reflective of his time here overall doesn’t stand up to scrutiny.

Powell was available for 13 games between Rotherham at home and Sheff Utd when he was injured. Neil started him in only 4 and in that period our record was W3 D2 L9 and Powell still managed to score 3 goals. He's certainly not key to AN on the evidence so far despite him saying what a key player for us he is. Shades of Nathan Jones here.........

I never noticed, maybe when he first came, I suppose. But I’m all about “what have you done for me lately?” Another thing that burned me yesterday was watching him give a friendly grin to one of the Hull players, as if to say, “can you believe this, they’re actually paying us thousands of pounds for running around on a patch of grass.” Where’s Clampie and Bluto when you need them?

He's in that injury v form loop now where he needs a run of games to get his form back but his body won't let him get that run of games in.
Maybe we're bringing him back too soon. Or maybe he's done for. I'd be surprised if we extend his contract unless the terms are massively favourable to the club.

Neil certainly seems to have decided he doesn’t fancy him and that may well have consequences for the manager and us come May. Hopefully not.

What have Clampie and Bluto ‘done for you lately’ out of interest? You didn’t notice he’d gone 1 in 2 last season before his injury and our season’s decline beginning after he got injured? Or him being just outside the top 10 scorers in the division the season before that? Or the number of goals he contributed directly and indirectly in MON’s first season? That’s probably more on you than him, I reckon…
