It's teetering on the brink

We need this to rescue the window. It's teetering on the brink I don't think it rescues it tbh. You can't let your best defender go and replace him with an injured loan. You just can't.

Don't disagree (although AN will know far more about Tuanzebe's fitness than us. But Pearson in would rescue it from outright disaster.

Don’t think that even Pearson rescues it at this stage FM We are wafer thin at the back Nor are we blessed with talent at the front I think Celina and the keeper will be value adding signings, the Dutch lad I’ve no expectations of and looks like a punt. This Man U lad is a desperate gamble, a lad out with a back injury for 6 months! Back injuries are notoriously fickle. I hope our decent recent form continues because we’ll need it to stay up

The only saving grace is that souttar’s played games and flint hadn’t played for months either so yes we are wafer thin but in reality we’re not that much worse off than we’ve been all season. It’s still a major fuck up and we are an injury to Wilmot away from seeing jags and fox at the heart of a back 4😂 We fucking need Pearson

I’d be more inclined to agree if Souttar had been a regular this season but he’s only played seven of our last fifty matches. A decent permanent CB signing would obviously have been very welcome but let’s not lose sight of the fact Souttar has barely played for us in over a year.

Course, we haven’t been exactly riding high without him, but I see hopeful signs, with the Kosovar, the goalie and Laurent, hopefully, taking on the captain’s role from Baker (which looks like it might improve them both). I think we did well to get what we got for Souttar. I think Leicester’s going to be disappointed. He’s goi g to prove too slow for the Prem.

If Pearson signs the only way letting Harry go makes any sense is if we go 433 and only need 2 x CBs. The issue then of course is what do we do with Tymon.

We signed Ryan from the shit on loan and he had a bad back (at some point)! How's that for positive spin? 😂

With Souttar I could've seen us pushing up the table with a decent top-half finish and looking forward to next season, as well as a greater chance against Brighton. Crazily, we're still only 10 points off the playoffs. I'm still hopeful we'll beat our post-relegation best of 14th.

Slightly unfair to say Hoever looks like a competition winner based on a 20 minute cameo in a team which he has just joined and trained with less than a handful of times. I’ll reserve judgement for a few games at least. I’ve always hated Pearson when he has played against us but that’s because he was always very effective and a bit of a shit house. Hopefully that’s one we get over the line.

Worrying times It’s at a point now with how it’s gone, if Taylor hadn’t got injured, I genuinely don’t think we’d have brought anyone in. To lose your best, and only valuable player, having known for the entire window it was likely, without a plan to replace them, and to be scraping and begging around for anyone on deadline day, if criminal mismanagement. Never mind the insistence from AN that we would draw a line somewhere and say he wasn’t going if we didn’t have time to get a quality replacement, which was him and the club completely lying to the fans. Then pretending a replacement with a guy who hasn’t played for 6 months and has a serious back injury, again, is disgraceful. If we don’t bring Pearson in to save it even a little, I honestly think we’ve somehow managed to make the team worse during this window, and think the club don’t mind being relegated and don’t even think it’s a possibility again…

That's why it'll be fun to watch. Because if he's that chaotic and actually good then he will be a cult hero.
