May not have been the coldest but the worse for me in recent times was a home match V Everton.
We had F5/6 wind coming through the gaps and horizontal torrential rain. It was horrendous.
At half time everybody went to the concourse and few came back.
An armchair fan watching on TV commented on here “There didn’t look to many there”. It was a near sell out but we were all sheltering down below 🥶

Coldest ever at a game for me that was Me too 100% Yep that Wrexham FA Cup was proper baltic. I remember the first half wasn't to bad temperature wise, definitely bearable, but the temperature seemed to plummet at half time & became bitterly cold in the 2nd half. I remember my girls who were quite young at the time looked at me half way through the 2nd half & said 'Dad we're so cold can we go now', As I was feeling what they were & couldnt really blag it as it was freezing I decided it was time to leave and get them warmed up again. We did miss the late flurry of goals but needs must. Another match I recall it being bitterly cold although there was no snow, think it was more the wind effect, the kind of cold that infiltrates through all your clothing layers & runs through your body like a chill. & coincidentally enough it was against Reading at the Bet365 in the early 2000's.

Grimsby away in the 90’s I think. Bloody Baltic. Horizontal sleet straight off the North Sea and an away end with no roof.

Someone will probably correct me if I'm wrong as I would have only been about 12, however I seem to remember an absolute freezing trip to Huddlesfield around 2001. I remember seeing icicles from the motorway bridge on the way. There was a snowball fight going on between both sets of fans. The other two coldest for me were Walsall in cup few years ago and Newcastle in FA Cup during promotion season. Think it was earlier than that mate. Wasn't it when we had Steino back on loan and they had not long been in that ground? Remember the stewards getting a pelting with the snowballs. I'm really not sure. I know it fairly close to their move to a new stadium as remember my Dad talking about it. EDIT: Just asked my Dad, it was indeed 2001.

I'd had the shits all morning and got there, got piss-wet through and soaked to the bone and freezing in the first fifteen minutes and just thought "sod this, I'm off".

The coldest night for me was in an auto glass game against Darlington at home. There was a golden goal we scored and I was out before the ball hit the net lol 😂.
Anyone remember?

Yeah this is definitely the coldest I've ever been at a match we were in the lower tier of the main stand. Was it Lightbourne with the golden goal winner? I would have quite happily seen Darlington score at the time yet 6 months later we were at Wembley in front of a full house........

Sadly I can’t even remember who scored although recall Aspin played for them I think.

I remember watching a League Cup game against Darlington when there were only 3 thousand there. 2006 I think it was. Wasn't cold in fact it was a lovely warm August night and even big Vince Pericard scored. Mind you we still contrived to lose 2-1. My wife's never been to a match since.

Cold? You bits of kids don't know the meaning of the word. Coldest without doubt was the Walsall home game in the FA Cup years ago. Is that the one we lost two nil and our keeper (O'NeilL?) got sent off for running out of his area to kick an opponent? Also, the Boothen End goal frame collapsed part way through the match and had to be repaired! January 1966 I think. Despite it being freezing cold, about 35000 turned out at the Victoria Ground for a 3rd round tie. Those were the days when the fA Cup was a major trophy. We'll be lucky to get 12000 for Stevenage. I was there. I don't recall it being particularly cold but in those days my internal thermostat was still functioning properly. Our keeper was I think Willie Irvine. In my head he had the ball in this hands and kicked the opponent in the area. Apparently unprovoked but presumably something had been done/said. Penalty resulted, and they scored. As you say, it ended 2-0 - a real upset.

No matches involving Liverpool, Arsenal or Newcastle that night. I was bored, OK. 😊
