Cold? You bits of kids don't know the meaning of the word. Coldest without doubt was the Walsall home game in the FA Cup years ago. Chesterfield away early 2000s open end snowing took some beating to be fair. Grimsby away FA Cup replay. North Sea gales in the Findus Stand 🥶

I thought it was something to do with the fog that decended in the second half

Wasn't it a response to something Reading supporters were chanting? Didn't get it myself. Hope not. They were singing 'phones on if you shag your mum'

Never mind the phones but what about the music that suddenly came on in the 2nd half and the crowd starting dancing and then booing when it went off🤣🤣 That was fucking brilliant 😂 We all started throwing some shapes! Great moment! 🤣🤣🤣

What a loads of whimps. If you weren’t at Grimsby, January 1987 for our FA Cup tie (1-1 won the replay 6-0) then you’ve never actually been cold.

Never mind the phones but what about the music that suddenly came on in the 2nd half and the crowd starting dancing and then booing when it went off🤣🤣 I thought a fan had tapped into the stadium WiFi/bluetooth and managed to get a vibe playing! Was half expecting the MOTD excited lady to start playing if someone had managed to infiltrate the soundsystem!

Someone will probably correct me if I'm wrong as I would have only been about 12, however I seem to remember an absolute freezing trip to Huddlesfield around 2001. I remember seeing icicles from the motorway bridge on the way.
There was a snowball fight going on between both sets of fans.
The other two coldest for me were Walsall in cup few years ago and Newcastle in FA Cup during promotion season.

First time visiting their new stadium.

Wasn't it when we had Steino back on loan and they had not long been in that ground? Remember the stewards getting a pelting with the snowballs.

York City at the Brit in 2010 was the coldest match I’ve ever been to. To make matters worse kick off was delayed by 30 mins as the York City coach was in traffic.

For a large chunk of the 80s the cold factor was probably overstated by the fact the fashion conscious amongst our number were probably wearing nothing more than a Lacoste t shirt and maybe a Pringle sweater - whatever the weather 🥶
Ps that terrace at Oldham gets my vote - any season.

Cold? You bits of kids don't know the meaning of the word. Coldest without doubt was the Walsall home game in the FA Cup years ago. Is that the one we lost two nil and our keeper (O'NeilL?) got sent off for running out of his area to kick an opponent? Also, the Boothen End goal frame collapsed part way through the match and had to be repaired! January 1966 I think. Despite it being freezing cold, about 35000 turned out at the Victoria Ground for a 3rd round tie. Those were the days when the fA Cup was a major trophy. We'll be lucky to get 12000 for Stevenage.
