Spot on, I also like what he was quoted as saying on another thread, that we will not just have loans for say 6 month's, then have them to return to their parent club to sell for a profit. We will aim for loans to buy and develop.

I hope so but I'm worried it'll end up in a fix the cat sense.

I really hope he can keep his word.

It isn't his club to fix though. That's the issue.
The first team coach should be a cog in the machine and not the maintenance engineer.

I remember when MON cleared out everyone and brought in his own medical, sports science and recruitment departments.
That went well then

If Neil fixes this club he deserves a statue erecting outside the Brit (Bet365)

We look worse in my opinion than before he got here so he can say whatever he likes but he's got to back it up on the pitch. Hopefully he can and will do pretty soon, because the alternative is sack him and start all over again

Surely unless we get relegated he's safe for at least another transfer window?

I wonder if one of the decisions we might not understand which he alludes to is possibly selling Lewis Baker, our captain at the moment.

If Neil fixes this club he deserves a statue erecting outside the Brit (Bet365) Fans who have tolerated the drudgery of the club for the last 3 years deserve a statue to.

Surely unless we get relegated he's safe for at least another transfer window? if we stay up but ae bottom 6/within 4points of the drop I would get rid If we are in mid table/shown signs of improvement (which I had expected by now) then yes he stays on

Two things on that clip
Okay so firstly, I like what I hear. If he's determined to right the wrongs of others the past however many years, then it's imperative the club provide him the tools to do so. Secondly though, Onlooker is absolutely spot on. Yes, it's fantastic that Neil wants to fix the club, but it's not his job to fix the whole structure and setup. He is the manager, he's there to manage what goes on on the pitch and training ground, and get his players playing good quality football. It's not his job to be fixing the mismanagement that trickles down from higher up the club. Onlooker describes it perfectly, he should be one of numerous cogs in the machine that work together to make a stable, well functioning and well performing football club.

I think that would be to easy to understand, I took it to mean the off field stuff like Delap sr being sacked as it's not clear why and we may never really know, just guess work.

not really his job to fix, maybe our wonderful owners can appoint some people who know what they're doing for a change.

Without a shadow of a doubt it’s the owners who keep employing these shit managers.
Different manager same old crap.
Jon Coates OUT and things might change

Good to hear some fighting talk.
It’s not been an impressive start in the pitch but he’s backing himself with some big decisions like getting rid of both Delaps. We’ve had the nice guy trying to sort things out with MON which ultimately went sour - maybe now is the time for a tougher approach.

See where Luton and Milwall are in the league. No doubt Jones was poor with us but he's not shit, Alex Neil certainly isn't shit. There is certainly something wrong and I'm not sure what it is.
