Listen campers, any team at the top end of each division playing with CONFIDENCE can be a match for any team - above or below - national league team at the top of their league can do a struggling premier league side. Been there many times. So all you nouveau stokies beware for an upset. Hope not and hope we ( scfc) can get a bit of form, a bit of confidence, and not a massive changed side on the day, and we might just scrape a win. Not a great way to impress today - one goal by our team and two OG’s from Hartlepool - not exactly owe inspiring eh!

That cunt Evans is manager. Hopefully Rory decks him. Controversial coming from you. Why?

You only need to go back a few years to the Shrewsbury debacle at home in the cup to realise upsets happen all too often.

From the Guardian comments section:
"As a Villa fan who goes to every single game, the only positive I can take from today is the knowledge that I won't have to spend anytime in Stoke this season."

The win means that the Swansea league game will now be midweek and rearranged from the 28th January.
Not very interesting fact but of the last 26 meetings between the two clubs only 9 have been on a Saturday, very odd.........

11 seconds in "Alfie, what's the draw?" "Stoke away" "Stoke away? Fucking..." Sounds to me like he says "Fucking great..." Don't know if he's being ironic or genuine. Ironic hopefully

Probably a neutral comment, as I suppose we're "F*cking Stoke" to most fans of other teams? At least we still have that.

You correctly pointed out that the city centre is excellent too. My house price in B14 certainly helps, though.

Stevenage, where I spend a fair amount of time with work, I've seen them a few times this season, they are hard to break down as proved at Villa, and do score quite a few late goals with a few 1-0 wins, it won't be easy with our strike force performing like they are at the moment. I helped out their new CEO last summer and have a yet untaken invite at one of their matches.
