You think there’s a plan?! 😂 A 5 year plan. Isn't it obvious?

Let's fuck the Eminem song off at the start of games while we're at it. I think we should just play always look on the bright side - at the start and end of the game at the moment - or if we actually win we could all sing there can be miracles I'd prefer silence so we can all reflect on what an absolute shit show the last 5 years have been.

If they'd been serious about a review they would have got an independent view, not just sat in their own echo chamber wanking each other off and saying they'd be back in the prem within a season. :-D wanking each other off in an echo chamber… now there’s an horrific vision and erm sound :-D[/quote]What ridiculous drivel😞

The life seems to be being drained from this club from the inside….something at the heart of the club is fundamentally wrong ….the brief period when Lambo was the manger, I recall going to the training ground at Clayton with dad , it was something that had been arranged with Jack Butland. Jack met us in lobby and took us up to where the players were finishing lunch …as soon as we walked in Peter Crouch and Joe Allen and Diouf came straight over to talk to dad and shake his hand and chat with him and the rest of us ….which was really great . As we were all chatting, my brother spotted Paul Lambert…deep in conversation with Peter Coates, other players were seated near them on the long dining tables, it was pretty obvious that Peter was discussing the situation at the club. So I know Peter Coates was maybe trying to figure out what had gone so terribly wrong and was engaged with players and manager.
Now Peter is getting on and has handed over the reins to John Coates, who has maybe relied a lot on others to make decisions, which he is now having to make. I do believe we need to get back to basics at the club, when we were in the Prem, the club in my opinion (the big cheeses) at the top (Tony Scholes etc) were only interested in the corporate stuff , the private box customer and forgot about the real fans, the ones who follow the club whatever division they are in come rain or shine.
It was like the club only wanted the better end client…..and the hard working man (or woman) was not very important anymore…
When dad first signed for Stoke , Tony Waddington made it about family….not just players, but the fans . We were all part of this Stoke City family. Dad loved the Boothen End fans Because when they sang he said “it sent shivers down your spine,” you wanted to be the best for them …..Tony Waddington made the players and their family feel very much part of the club, . Tony took us to Abersoch a few times to get to know us ….and it wasn’t just us he did that with all the players at different times. The bonds made between the players of that squad and era are still going strong, these boys played as a team, for each other, the manager, the fans and the chairman and directors. They were all proud to pull on those Stoke City stripes (or green jersey for dad) and would never have dreamed of giving anything other than 100% on the pitch.
The cohesion of all these elements combined are what makes a club. The moment one part thinks they are more important than another part is when the structure starts to fall apart. The players are important, but this club has been around since 1863…so the players need to understand this and embrace what we are, Stoke is not Flashy, its built on hard graft. My dad never forgot his roots, he was working class and proud of it…sorry for the ramble ….i just want to end by saying I wish we could go back to being the Fortress Britannia again, I have always struggled with the rename of the stadium …the mighty Brit aka the ‘bearpit” epitomised everything we stood for, teams visiting us knew how hostile our bearpit could be And were already psychology on the back foot just parking the team bus up there…..again I apologise for the ramble .

...again I apologise for the ramble . Really no need. It's a great insight!

I don't think there is a plan, it's always been hit and hope. We'd make a fantastic bet365 customer.
They can't admit it's not working because it has to work under them they're billionaires after all, they're likely big headed.
The board makeup being Denise Coates' husband brother and rather really says a lot.

When the Club's decline hits rock bottom, and we eventually merge with Port Vale, will we be renamed Trent Vale?

I wouldn't even mind if we had a Communist Politburo in charge at Stoke, as long as they introduced a workable 5 year plan!

The plan is to employ a manager and let him get on with it. They'll back him as much as they are allowed to and give him more than enough time. It's simple and typically lazy-arsed. They will also pour any amount of £Ms into the club that the rules allow in order to keep us solvent. And they will do all they can to ensure we work within the silly FFP rules. Perhaps you would prefer some of the recent owners at Derby or West Brom. I could add Notts Co to the list. The first two are geographically close and similar sized clubs. The latter no so much. I'd prefer the Coates family to be in charge but get with the times. John Coates clearly has no clue what he is doing. They are propping us up and suffering from FFP restrictions solely due to their ineptitude.

If he wasn't a Coates,he would most likely be a 2nd.hand car salesman. Yep. He's way out of his depth. Too much, too easy. Crying out for a top drawer CEO and DoF.

When the Club's decline hits rock bottom, and we eventually merge with Port Vale, will we be renamed Trent Vale? StokeVile - what a horrific creature from Hell! No, my "IQ-Cap" can't take that kind of a hit. And conversion to delusional entitled waster with a penchant for violence? Too difficult and lengthy. (Same program that politicians attend)
