Most of the managers have been give quite a bit of patience from the fans imo, look at MON, fans were still backing him and not really voicing all that much at games even though we had to sit through game after game of crap and watch him build an ineffective squad, its not toxic, a lot have just given up and continue going out of habit. Let’s not forget that MON’s main job was get rid of players to reduce the wage bill and avoid FFP penalties. He did that effectively. Unfortunately it left him with virtually no money to spend in the summer and the best he could do was bring in loanees. Gayle was a big mistake. I honestly believe we are much worse now than when MON was fired and we might have been better off keeping him. He also lost his three best players to injury - Souttar, Tymon and Powell. The biggest puzzle is Lewis Bake, who looked great at the end of last season but changed completely when they made him captain. He is playing out of position but that doesn’t explain his terrible performances that seem to get worse with every game. He has to be dropped for the good of the team. He had plenty to spend, wasted 3.5mil on a striker not capable of doing what was asked and then another lump on Gayle and thats just two signings, we were/are still quite high spenders in terms of wage. But the balance of the squad has got sod all to do with money, he made a fool of himself when he came out and said he thinks a DM isn't needed, he should have been let go as soon as that nugget of wisdom left his mouth.

His quip about no DM needed (which was a load of bollocks) is no different to the bollocks Neil has come out with saying there are no wingers in the squad when he wanted to play a back 3. Whilst now he has somehow and conveniently landed on a 4231/433 system that he's now using without any wingers! All whilst ignoring Fosu and DWP - two wingers. It must be a Stoke thing.

Our home record is nothing short of a disgrace. I'm amazed that the gates have kept up in the meantime.
If anythings toxic, it's the utter dirge that our various 'teams' have served up since relegation.
Most people I talk to don't have any anger, or toxicity in them - they're just shrugging their shoulders, and bit-by-bit, giving less of a shit. And if this carries on until May, then next season's starting to feel like the one where we really start to see people turning their backs on the club.
The 'older' supporters are starting to find other things to do with their time, and we're doing nothing to attract the younger supporters, the next generation.
You can't give an unused ST away these days. It's a joke.

Over last 30 home games: Ratio of two home games = one home defeat. Almost 4 home games per win. I doubt there has ever been such a poor run of home form in Stoke’s history at this level. At all league levels decline often tends to happen with lack of finance, but Stoke have acquired the knack of declining despite financial outlay. 13 home defeats in 84/85: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1984–85_Stoke_City_F.C._seasonAngry fan base's patience snaps: “Stoke supporters have been pretty patient considering the home record has been quite this bad, the second worst in the Championship this season behind only Wigan. It has nose dived dramatically after beating West Brom in early October last season: playing 30 games, winning only eight and losing 15, scoring 33 and letting in 37”. www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-preston-north-end-7987987

I don't think DWP is someone we can rely on tbh, needs a loan lower down the leagues so I'm not surprised he isn't being used. I think its quite a bit different tbh, as you point out we do only have one experienced winger in the squad so he's right, we're very limited re wingers.

Unless I misheard, that is what the presenter on P&G read out when I turned the car radio on. I think that in recent years, during the home games at least, the crowd have, collectively, been unbelievably tolerant. Ambivalent and placid in comparison to protests during the later years at the Vic and early years at the Brit. For years, opposition GK’s generally seem to have such an astonishingly easy ride at Stoke’s home games. Perhaps the complete lack of excitement and being conditioned to expect it has contributed to the fans being in a daze?…. The description, “toxic” just doesn’t seem accurate; today was the first real collective disquiet for yonks. We're you at Rotherham?

Not at Rotherham or any away games in recent years, so cannot comment with any authority. I’ve witnessed individuals engaging in arguments at the Brit but no real collective fury for years. What happened at New York Stadium?

I wouldn’t worry. Toxic is just the latest go to word/phrase, like ‘basket case’ was. Well it's far more appropriate then as there are levels of toxicity and not everything toxic kills you. Isn't basket case something to do with the guillotine and execution? so very much dead.

Beg to differ it’s only counter productive to the team Campbell and baker was ridiculous , yiyr not gif to wear the shirt even worse , they certainly didn’t lack effort Is 'yiyr not gif to wear the shirt' to the same tune as 'your not fit to wear the shirt' or has it got a different jingle to it? It’s Welsh.

Calling us 'toxic' is just plain bollox. Like all fans, we react to what we see on the park. Nothing could emphasize that more than recalling our first two season back in The Prem. In all my years supporting the club I've never known a togetherness between club, players and fans as we showed back then. It was truly sensational stuff. We're now reacting to five seasons of dross and I'm amazed at how many fans have stuck with the club.
OS.
