There'll be a few reading this thread back and cringing. Mainly seems reasonable to me tbh, Neil still has a lot to prove. He's already proven a few on this thread wrong.

Since the mid season break we are much improved. We need to stop the comical defending that is gifting teams goals and a commanding keeper should cure that. We look fitter, stronger and more committed. We do indeed. Perhaps I should have a lottery ticket this weekend.

He's already proven a few on this thread wrong. 10 games left and as close to relegation as we are the playoffs with more teams above us than below. I’d say he’s proven few wrong. At present, he’s not improved us. If he can put us in the top half of the table by the end of the season, he will have.

We still look awful at home and thats the bread and butter. Utter rubbish. Yeah the last two have been corkers. A glorious defeat where we barely touched the ball and a glorious defeat where we touched it too often.

And he’s proven the OP wrong for a start who predicted we wouldn’t reach 40 points. I can’t be arsed to trawle through the thread but there were a number of others who gleefully piled on as well. At no point did I say he has done enough to satisfy the majority of our support, my comment related solely to this typical post defeat ‘knee jerk’ thread.

The thing is, had results been reversed completely, and we’d got the results we have away, but at home instead and the other way around too.
The majority wouldn’t be nearly as critical as we have been, myself very much included.
But most fans only see home games, I see all of the home games, the odd away game, and the rest in a blurry crap stream. So only really have our terrible home form to base how we do from.
If you want fans onside, you have to get it right at home, there are loads of factors that make that difficult, including teams sitting back. But there just isn’t an excuse for it really.
In the premier league earlier years, Pulis admitted that there were bonus games and to be fair every away game was almost accepted as either a draw or a loss, but fans were good with it because at home we were hard and battling.

No, I’m not saying anyone should be, we should be going out to win every game in this league, and while you were almost guaranteed to lose away to the Chelsea’s and Uniteds. Why not therefore just go out to give them an upset. But if your home form is good, your away form isn’t as important and the larger portion of fans see good results instead of bad ones. Improving the mood. Plus away supporters will put up with far more than home fans, because they almost know what they’re signing up to.
