Here we go again, another poor championship side give almost every Burnley player available for possession 5 yards of space. Sheff Utd and especially Man Utd proved 100% the way forward. Rat em ! Close em down! Stop ball watching !
As a depressed Stoke City fan I know 100% what our tactically inept manager will do on Friday to stop em……………….absolutely feck all. He’ll give too much respect and let em play and our inconsistent, most below average players will crumble unfortunately.
Get. Big bets on

I think we got a freakin' dud as manager. Plays Harry at right CB, uses Brown when desperate and reckons do-little to nothing Powell is some sort of bleedin' messiah. MON did not leave a totally lousy team, but with so many players out of action so frequently, could it be that the players have scant faith in AN and do not really care if they get game time or not? If we get smashed by Burnley, our season will be well and truly over. Damn.

In typical Stoke fashion we'll beat Burnley loose* to Preston!
Big money double! 😆

To me, the best tactic against all Championship teams is to get a consistent high press. The quality of Championship players with the ball at their feet is low. To do it, we need to drop Fox and buy a left footed centre back of at least average pace. We also can’t rely on Campbell. Do that and we’d at least see teams start to make more mistakes (the mistakes that we typically make).

The less of the ball we have the better side we are. Wouldn’t be surprised if we turned them over and then lose to Preston who will come and sit behind the ball.

They’ve won 4 in a row.
They can’t win every game…
Think they’ll have too much for us though.
0-2.

I'm a bit down on my haunches with the club at the moment but christ, let's at least let the manager make a mistake first before we slate him for it!

You never know, we got an unlikely point at their place when that callow blonde boy on loan from Arsenal, whose name escapes me probably because he seems to have vanished, grabbed a most unexpected equaliser right at the death.

I'm expecting a real tough game Burnley seem more clinical than when we went there. I would try
Bonham
Wilmot Harry Jags Fox Clarke Thompson Baker Tymon Campbell Brown
We can try to force their wide players back as Clarke and Tymon Can push on and also help the full backs out, they will have the ball but we might have energy to catch them on the break. Highly impressed with how Burnley as a club has responded to relegation, brave appointment and have a fresh young team that can improve, meanwhile in Stoke we plod on down the same road to nowhere it seems.

I rate Taylor more than Wilmot, but I guess most people will agree with your choice. I’d go for Wilmot’s extra mobility. If Souttar can’t do the wide centre half role effectively, Taylor has little chance of doing so Taylor played well there under O'Neill.

Well a back 3 leaves us massively exposed to their strength so my guess is that is what the hapless Neil will opt for. I can hardly wait Watching them now it looks Cullen pulls the strings and they feed Benson and Zouhary constantly.A back four with Tymon up against either frightens me to death Any room behind that sofa of yours?

Proxy little no mark of a club in Burnley up there. Pisses me off when some little shit does well. What's the point in Burnley going up? No money, shit ground, peddling around the bottom of the prem until they drop again.
If we got it right at least our owners have the wealth to spend big and try make sure we don't have a big dangerous dip again in the prem.
Bloody proxy little Burnley!!
It's probably my ignorant football knowledge of other teams players, but I think I only know about 3 or 4, and they're nowt special. What the fuck are they doing up there?

No mark of a club Burnley who were founding members of the Football League and have won the title two more times than we ever will? They’re a fantastic club at the heart of a proper working-class, Northern town. I’d sooner have them in the Premier League than fucking Bournemouth.

Birmingham got the only draw but were later beaten 3-0 by them. Impressive.

I think he did decent pressing before his injury but was carrying timber when he came back. That goal v Rotherham was a bright spark though. I'd try 4-2-3-1 with Brown(or Fosu)-Powell-Campbell behind Delap. There's energy for a press there.

For me Connor Taylor is a far better defender than Wilmot so I would prefer 2/3 (dependent on formation) of Souttar / Taylor / Jagielka / Fox in a game like this
Just looking at the limited options we have available is very worrying

Ive got a good feeling about this one. God knows why, that said I had a good feeling most home games until 3.01pm
Still, i do think we will beat them. Im going for a few changes too in a 4-4-2 type version
Bonham Sterling-Wilmot- Souttar- Fox Fosu- Baker- Smallbone- Tymon Campbell- delap
