The crap managers invariably go to other clubs and do well. Even Hughes is doing reasonably well at Bradford.
The problem lies deeper.

We’ve played top of the league Oh that's OK then. We were playing Burnley not Bayern Munich. Still top of the league and we have them a very good game.

Do we keep making mistakes in defence when on the training pitch & keep wasting chances in front of the goal?

There’s a complete lack of soul emanating from every pore of the club . It somehow needs an injection off fan engagement if we are to survive the drop makes you wonder if a Ryan could make a difference all the naysayers will point to lack of experience etc but may be an old head with him could cover that or another warrior like Bellamy with Kompany , the club has to try and get re-engaged with its 12th man and needs to get to 50 points spiralling down a Neil led pole of indifference , mediocrity and player disengagement is only going to lead one way i would be 100% in support of Ryan taking over tomorrow. This club needs a serious change in players and management or we will be down league one next season. He spoke very sensibly yesterday. Pointed out that the 2 deep midfield should be wanting the ball more from defenders, instead of the hopeful punt up to the forwards. Also that Burnley are a very good side, not always acknowledged on here.

it is obvious since Souttar's return that the defence have been told to use the long ball. And as we had a great height advantage yesterday it might have seemed sensible. Powell must have won six or seven headers and whether he placed them to his right or flicked them on, we had no one even attempting to get onto them. He should have told the deep midfielders to look for the ball from the defence before the game, not after it, if that is what he wanted. He had plenty of opportunities during the game to remind them, if he had told them to do so.

Hughes is the best manager we’ve had since waddington is what the league positions suggest he’s miles miles better than anything that’s followed

Didn't see the whole game but looked at the video highlights at the official website today and it seems a draw would have been fair.
Stoke could have had two penalties. First of all when their keeper punched both the ball and Brown simultaneously to the ground. And we had that shot inside the penalty box where the defender stopped the shot by his chest but then the ball seemed to have reached his fingers.
⚽👍

They scored with 30 mins to play and did a training routine of keeping the ball for the time left. It was like men against boys. Do you think they would have played keepball if the score remained 0-0.

I think he was referring to Shawcross talking about the two deep midfielders recieving the ball from the defence as he discussed it on the radio not Neil mate.

Somehow, we are only 6 points off sixth. So everything to play for…

I’ve just watched tha 15 minute highlights package from Sky after being at the game and it just reinforced my opinion that we didn’t deserve to lose that game😡so frustrating. What a calamity of a goal to give away and no wonder Kompany was so pleased in his interview after. Keep the faith because it will turn
