I will also add we had more than fair share of knob heads in the away support today, that always seems to happen on Boxing day as they arrive already pissed up. I don't doubt some twats would have been shouting racist abuse, sadly they do live amongst us.

Did he bollocks. You've rinsed players in the past for the kind of performances he put in today. Compared to how he been for the majority of this season I can see an improvement, but he really isn't playing well. Nobody in that "team" is. Stretched the play, scored a goal and played well. Laughable,if you were actually at the game you would have seen the play broke down when the ball went to him at least 80% of the time. I like Tyrese, he has some class, but this was not his day, aside from the goal (and he got lucky with that).

I said I wasn't going respond on this board for a week as there's way too much club, player and manager slagging, but I have to respond to this. If he's heard any of that then he should have done more than cup his ears. I bet those that few youth clubbers that said it were that pissed that when he scored minutes later they couldn't even remember abusing his and looking stupid for it. I bet they players hearing, reading or hearing about things like this and other comments to players make them really feel like running through a brick wall when they play, not. I think it's pretty obvious he hasn't heard it to be fair. Id be surprised, in this day and age if someone didn't say anything to the wanker or wankers shouting that kind of shit. The front rows are filled by old people, disabled people or people with young kids in the main. Difficult for such people to confront pissed up/drugged up idiots

I'm taking my lad to Sheff United in a few weeks (he's only 7). Reading this thread is really making me to look forward to it ha ha

Correct if someone allegedly or actually uses racial abuse than yes you have every right to react and the people responsible should be named and shamed and banned for life But if you amble around like your on holiday game after game you should accept some people may have a problem with it

I have to say I didn't hear any myself but if Davejonhno said he did that's good enough for me. And as others have said there were plenty of coked/pissed up lads there today which makes it even more likely.

Wasn't at the game Was he getting OTT stick/abuse from Stoke fans? If so it's those fans who should have a good look at themselves if that didn't happen then he's been daxt Either way it's not worth getting get up about Exactly. Some wankers can give it but don't like anything back. If I was him and other players, I'd do more than cup my ears. They'd be having a bloody double hander. Supporters don't get paid to attend.

The 'ear cuppin' is disrespectful to supporters and demonstrates the 'different ego-stroking world' pro footballers are fortunate to live in. I'm sure the day will come when the 'crowd' will be replaced, to be made up by sycophantic bots. Fans will give voice to frustraing performances and players should be 'grown-up' enough to appreciate that. Should supporters be grown up enough to take it back? It's a dire state that relations between supporters and players has grown so far apart. I don't think many supporters would be so unhappy with individual performances based on half a season (maybe not even a full season). But after the last 5 seasons, had the players been doing their job consistently, EVEN despite the background cock-ups they'd all be cut a lot of slack. The reality is they underperform consistently and they know it, but they're frustrated by not being made out to be prime Brazilians Ronaldo's. I've never disliked a group of stoke players more than this and the last 2 seasons' players.

Campbell has been one of the few positives this season. If he keeps getting played he will finish on 12-15 goals. Fuck knows why anyone would have a go at him
The problem is goalkeeper, center back, centre mid

Just a quick one re Ty’s performance today. I’ve just exchanged a few messages with a Rotherham player that I’ve come to know and he said Ty was a nightmare to play against. Lightening quick and really strong.

He can do what he likes for me but he needs to start scoring more often than once in a blue moon. Whether thats down to him otr a lack of service is up for debate but strikers are remembered for goals not cupping ears

Lightening quick and really strong. I work with a Rotherham player's dad and he messaged me post-match and said his lad had made similar comments. Personally, I thought Campbell offered very little today* aside from his (lucky) goal and a couple of bits of good movement that pulled their defence out of their shape, but then again, what the fuck do I know? 😂 *yes, I was actually there

I think the fans have been wank recently, it's one thing in previous seasons where we've had squads full of feckless pricks.
The current crop lack quality, but they're decent lads and put a good shift in. They could do with having the fans drag them through games rather than beat them down.

I suspect campbell might be a victim of his pre-injury success. We thought we had an electric striker on our hands (a new stein/sheron/fuller) but he’s rarely looked like living up to the hype post-injury.
It could be the case that he just caught a hot streak pre-injury and now he has regressed to the mean? Or maybe the 10 months out at such a young age has stunted his development more than we realise, and he’s still got a lot of hard work ahead to live up to his potential? It’s hard to say for sure but I suspect it’s a combination of both.
I think it’s best if people adjust their perception of him and see him as a competent championship striker rather than a player clearly destined for greater things. And then if he does become shithot again, it’ll be a bonus. It’s the separation between expectation/reality that is causing people to get on his back. It’s unfortunate more than anything.

The problem is we don't really want to stay in this league as you only stagnate, and the club smells already let's be honest. We don't look like we are going anywhere and we don't really just accept championship stalwart players. I mean the state we are in is quite unbelievable, from potential England n.1 goalkeeper and bosnia first keeper to the u21 England keeper and a 40 year old center back. From BMX to Powell's half arsed efforts, tymon and brown, from nzonzi to a half arsed Baker. I honestly think every player should be aspiring to where we should be, where we came from, but giving it the big'un that they are the best mid table championship players in the world. This post makes me sad. I honestly barely celebrated the two goals yesterday. Quite embarrassed by them really. The team and leagues standard is unbelievably bad.
