I really don't feel we have done too well the last six games, but when I look at the form table we have actually done better than the four teams occupying the playoff spots for the moment according to Skysports, strange!

Keeping Souttar will be a big bonus

If we went up via the plays offs this season,we would need to spend more than we have set spent before, just to try & not get relegated straight back down again.

I think if we went back up we'd have to spend with one eye on coming straight back down. The team is nowhere near good enough to stay in the prem and a big overhaul wouldn't be a great idea with ffp

That’s how poor the EPL is. IMHO you split the league into these categories; Above average Average Below average Poor

We've also beaten Sheffield U. and Blackburn this season and drawn away to Burnley!

You could argue for an element of optimism at present. We have had two successive clean sheets in the last couple of matches with a new goalkeeper. We have just had a good result just when we really needed it, and we managed this without our best player, Powell. We have a couple of new defenders to bolster the defence and added a strong midfielder in Pearson. Also we have the new guy Celina to fit in plus the return from injury of Connor Taylor and Josh Tymon, and possibly Powell to strengthen the squad. And Tezgel is now a lurking presence ready to make his mark on the team. Things are looking good so what could possibly go wrong?

Still a possibility? .. just joking, I couldn't help it.. sorry! We could still get 82 points. Which is more than we got the last time we were promoted. Just saying like

If we'd made the signings we have and kept Souttar (and avoided the injuries to important players we always seem to get in recent years), I would've been disappointed with anything less. So a lot of 'ands' for that one.

Just looking forward to next season now with hopefully a degree of optimism. If we stay up and show some sign of good times, it will be the first season in the last five or so that I could genuinely look at positively. I know hindsight is a wonderful thing, but something has felt wrong ahead of each of the last few seasons in my mind and I never remotely thought we would be looking at doing well.
