SCFC is beige, nothing about us is different. We’ve been average for several years, plodding without identity. I can’t think of an aspect of the club that shows innovation or ambition? Weather the match day experience, promotions, players, transfer policy, recruitment, training. Nothing springs to mind.
Where’s the passion, drive and innovation. I imagine the board room (albeit created in 96/97) to reflect our ambition with beige walls an old school desk and chairs from a kwik fit waiting room!
Someone tell me we’re showing innovation/initiative in something?

I've never felt more disconnected from the club. There is just nothing likeable about us at the moment.
I can't stand any of the players really except for Jacob Brown as he's the only one who gives his all every week, and he's left on the bench every week.
The manager is the definition of beige. Never says anything interesting, has got no charisma or personality, shows no passion or drive.
This season is shaping up to be one of the most forgettable in our recent history.

We’re having a barren spell for sure, but football is cyclical. Fortunes can turn within 12/18 months if decisions that are made suddenly click.
We might be beige currently but we will always have our history as founders members, Stanley Matthews, the Premier League dogs of war years that propel us above clubs like Reading and make us well known around most of the globe.
Keep the faith……

I know this will be divisive but for better or worse, when we had the antiChrist Pulis as manager and certain players we did at leat have an identity as the team everyone hated, which gave us a siege mentality. Maybe not ideal but it kind of reflected SoT, the fans, it was like an unholy trinity, which clearly worked....to a point. Often frustrating but good upsetting Chelsea, ManU and of course Arsenal, not forgetting the FA Cup SF. Maybe not ideal but so much better then beige.

Pulis returned us to the promised land after a quarter of a century washing around in the wilderness between the old divisions 2 and 3. And kept us in the Premier league for 5 seasons without ever once looking like we would go down. He further delivered the only European victories and the only FA Cup Final in the history of the football club. Scaled Kilimanjaro for the Donna Louise Trust, managed the football club to victory on the day of the death of his own mother. The man is a living legend. I don't think there will be too many people who find your post 'divisive'!

Not sure we ever did under TP , Mark hughes did that but I’d take either back in a heartbeat ,Pulis should have been the appointment when O’Neil was appointed as advocated at the time , even if moving him on was right at the time as hughes demonstrated he beat city home and away , United home successively , spurs and liverpool mind blowing to think how we’ve fallen

I heard our manager ask the ref if we could have a ball to play with during the WBA game as WBA were playing with the other one - I thought that was showing a bit of initiative.
As I write this I can't even remember our manager's name - that is probably more to do with my senility though.
I would say Beige is a compliment, they are literally like hemorrhoids - as in you are stuck with them for life and they serve no purpose other than being a painful part of your being that you can't get rid of - with the best you can hope for being a pain-free sh^te from time to time.
If we did a Bury I think I would be relieved - our current owners think Stoke just need an ard working British manager and all will be fine - and that is about as innovative as we are ever going to be under them.

The older i get the less enthusiasm i have. Loved matchday in my teens and twenties now in my fifties and less engaged in it all. For Stoke give me something or someone to believe in or engage with.
