Netflix documentary been running as near enough the headline story on most news outlets for a few days now.
I guess the Sussexes have suffered, in ways most of us will not experience. Whether they have suffered quite as much as they think is another question.
They have trousered one hundred and twelve million quid in the process.

Quite a sad reflection of the state of the British press (especially the Tory/right/establishment papers) that something as relatively trivial as this dominates to such an extent. I mean, it's not as if there are other far more significant issues affecting far more people to be concerned about! Apparently the Sun's first nine pages today are all dedicated to this nonsense. Come on, Charles, hurry up with modernising the monarchy and shrinking its relevance so the country can collectively grow up and move on.

One thing I know is this thread will be more entertaining than the programme itself.
Nothing gets the EE board more excitable than a spot of Meghan and Harry bashing. Remember folks, you don’t HAVE to watch……

So as well as the irrelevant photos from Harry Potter premiers and such we now learn Brexit is to blame. Some tenuous link between the Brexit vote, nationalism and racism caused them harm.
Prince Harry victim, jeez what a load of total horseshit the whole thing is.

I think the most predictable part of this is how the Establishment rally around so aggressively to protect the Monarchy, especially the right wing media. They are always frightened stiff of any threat to the status quo and therefore so reactionary. The response is hilarious.

You can only hope this is the start of a quite dramatic implosion of the whole jewel encrusted facade and the whole rotten family is consigned to the dustbin of history.

You can only hope this is the start of a quite dramatic implosion of the whole jewel encrusted facade and the whole rotten family is consigned to the dustbin of history. Can't see it. What would replace it as a comfort blanket for the millions who need it? I think the best we can hope for is a much smaller, hopefully less relevant monarchy more like European royal families. There, but of little real significance. Even that will have to be done slowly and carefully. You can only hope that William is on the same page as his dad in this regard. I think so, from what they've both said, but you never know.

The Duchess of narcissism getting her payday and her spot in the limelight again.
Given the living situation most people find themselves in, I find it all in very bad taste, 2 very rich adult children having a moan whilst getting handsomely paid for their sins.
For what it’s worth, I found the curtsy scene incredibly disrespectful and dare I say some classic American ignorance (sorry to Americans on here) Harry looked a mixture of embarrassed/annoyed at what he was putting himself through. Just imagine for a second if that was someone of non faith disrespecting a religious families ceremony/tradition, people would go mental.

Just imagine for a second if that was someone of non faith disrespecting a religious families ceremony/tradition, people would go mental. I haven't seen any of the programme so I'm not sure what the curtsy scene you refer to actually is, but if it's a failure on Meghan's behalf to show the deference she was expected to show, fair play to her, why should she? I wouldn't bow to a royal if I met one. I'd be perfectly amicable and interested to talk to them to see what they're really like but I'm not showing any kind of deference just because I'm supposed to! I don't find that disrespectful at all, just an awareness of an anachronism that looks very out of date and is rather reflective of the immature, semi-feudal nature of much of our country. Most other countries moved on and gave up doing this shit ages ago. My guess is that Charles finds all this protocol and etiquette a load of old bollocks too and would be much happier without any of it.
