Ashley is a hard nosed business man. So, if Ashley came to Stoke, do you think he would show up for anything other than a quick profit? he was at newcastle for 13 years (or thereabouts) not really a quick profit

Yes but Ashley isn't going to invest the £200m required to achieve that

He would have a very expensive asset if we were regularly top ten in the premier league. you know absolutely nothing about Ashley other than what you read in the press

I feel sorry for Coventry fans and those associated with the club. The shit they've had to deal with over the last decade or so.
Although it does go to show that a decent manager and set of players can still deliver on the pitch regardless of the crap that's going on in the background at the club.
Perhaps a lesson for ourselves there...

It begs the question if Ashley goes through with the eviction what does he intend doing with an empty stadium. Flatten it and sell the land Prime site given its acces to the M6, Coventry city centre and rail station …..We’ve been here before many years ago with Brighton Don’t rule that analogy out Access to Coventry railway station? It’s miles away and no shuttle bus atm The small station next to the stadium doesn’t allow access 1hour either side the game Some rumours linking a move to an area near to Warwick university a while back - transport still not good Who knows

Wasn't the pitch knackered because of the Commonwealth games rugby. I think any groundsman would have struggled after so many games in such short time.

I think the point is that it is their responsibility to prepare a pitch (wherever that may be) which is in a playable state, whatever the circumstances. They were aware of the Rugby but didn't negotiate anything or do anything about it. It's not the groundsman fault, its the club.
