Mbappe running at our defence is the stuff of nightmares but the French defence are average at best, we'll definitely get our own opportunities. We just need to take them. Both teams to score

Man for man we are better than France. They have Mbappe though, who can and does win games on his own.

Man for man we are better than France. They have Mbappe though, who can and does win games on his own. I’d say it’s pretty even. I’d take their defence over ours. Midfield pretty even. Forwards petty even too. Mbappe is the key. Keep him quiet and starve him of possession then we can go through.

Just do what they did in the old days.
Someone put a reducer on him early, hurt him. Take a booking. Then someone else do the same shortly after

Some are not giving France much of a chance on Sat, let's not forget they are the World Champions and don't usually bottle it when it counts, unlike we do. Eh?…..who’s righting France off? All people are saying is they’ll be as worried about England as England will be about them Just our left sided players? 🤷🏼♂️ 😉

France have an iconic talent, the best of his generation who can win a tournament on his own. England are the underdogs in this game, no doubt I follow these people for odds and now England are favourites. By 52% to 48%! That's damn close and I still think France are favourites. Before the last 16 they thought France were stronger but 3-0 Vs Sénégal is such a great result that England odds got boosted. I just hope southgate let's them loose.

Man for man we are better than France. They have Mbappe though, who can and does win games on his own. Really? Going from what I think a general consensus would be: Most would pick Pickford Most would pick the French back 4 with only Walker getting a look in from some. The midfield is a toss up depending on what people like. Attackers the same bar Kane and Mbappe.

Should be a great match. Winner wins the World Cup. I really think we can beat France but we'll need to be at the top of our game and put away all of our chances. Croatia worry me massively and are a very good outside bet in my opinion. They just get on with the job in hand and Modric is still one of the best players in the world.

Injuries are a horrible side of the game. But wouldn't it be ace if Mbappe pulled up in training this week.

Thing is preparing for France. No doubt it's a hard game. But we have to remember we've got the players to hurt them.

biggest game of kyle walkers career, and he will do a great job on mbappe if he avoids an early card- and then we will win, because overall we have more quality and more options. 3-1 England if we keep our cool. C'mon lads

Portugal are the dark horses for me....... theyve got talent all over the pitch....with the only weak link being Pepe IMO but hes also a master of the dark arts..... We owe them, but whoever we play, to win the World Cup youve got to beat the best Lets get this lot out of the way first.....this could be handy if anyone is watching the game with French supporters on Saturday.... Dont woryy - Alans got it covered.....

Walker has got more than enough about him to deal with Mbappe and if he does that we win, it's as simple as that. If Bellingham, Rice, Henderson and Foden play like they did last night our midfield will come out on top. I'm going for a two nil win with Saka and Kane with the two goals.

For what it’s worth I liked your 2018 side but thought Kane cynically getting to areas of the pitch before falling over so you could launch balls into slab face did your ability a disservice in Euro 2020.
Genuinely think this is the game that will be the legacy of Southgate – play with the handbrake off and Bellingham supported by Henderson and Rice trying to outscore France and it could be one of the greatest world cup games in recent memory. Play conservatively and trying to nick a 1-0 when the defence is your weakest facet his legacy could be tarnished in wasting an opportunity to go all the way.
Some of the football last night after the initial 30 minutes was absolute quality really. All the goals were sexy team goals and all the other teams must be looking at you thinking ‘oh sh!t!’ this morning.

This one I'm nervous of if we play walking football I fear a French comfortable win be positive and with pace and we're in with a decent chance.

Some are not giving France much of a chance on Sat, let's not forget they are the World Champions and don't usually bottle it when it counts, unlike we do. They bottled their own Euro final in 2016. They bottled the group stage in 2002. They're no different to us, but they're relying on one player and we have a team.

If we go at them, I genuinely think we can beat them - but we've got to be brave. Take off the handbrake. Should we try and sit back then I think we'll end up losing because we're not good enough to hold out Mbappé / Dembélé / Griezmann.
It's very close, but with the plethora of attacking talent available to us, I think we have a better overall squad.
Kyle Walker needs to have the game of his life.

It’s the midfield battle that’ll decide it. Our defense is poor, so if we throw everything at them, we’ll also fall right into their hands. This is a huge game for Rice, Henderson and Bellingham, who will each need to be sweating buckets by the end of it to ensure that they stay in more control.

They could but BTTS seems more likely for me as there were a couple of wobbles last night against inferior forwards. Giroud would be a worry for me as he's clever so if you concentrate too much on Mbappe can see him nicking a goal. You and Morocco are the best two teams so far for me but your depth rips the absolute piss out of theirs. I'm thinking the semis could be a bit like USA 94 with a couple of surprises sneaking in.

Just want see us give it a go and hope Southgate has learned his lesson from the Euros….if your opponent is down, finish them off. I suspect he will go cautious and just delay the inevitable.
