Where was Powell? Injured again? After WBA, I've moved on. Time to get a more reliable player on our books.

That header from Gayle and that Brown miss. Wow. 😂🤦♂️ And Delap's. All symptomatic of our most glaring problem. We all tend to focus on the keeper issue because they let in soft goals which leads to frustrating losses but we had enough gilt edged chances last night to have scored 6 or 7 and yet we could easily have lost it 1-0. We 'scored' the two scrappiest goals. We do need a decent keeper but more urgently (and probably more difficult or expensive to find) we need a goalscorer or for one of our forwards to find their shooting boots pronto. Delap’s isn’t that bad imo. He did well to create it and he was wide, it’s a good goal if he takes it.

Just watched Notts Forest mngr Steve Coopers post match interview.
It would seem they are off to Greece next week for training.
Don’t know where they are going but the weather out there this time of year can be awful !
The only possible place I can think of is Cyprus which is technically not Greece.
Just a little piece of Trivia 🤪

The other thing I noticed watching the highlights again was that their goal came about as a direct result of Baker being out muscled in midfield and then simply gives up. How many times has that happened this season?

How many times has that happened this season? I’d expect to score Browns, I’d never expect to create the chance Delap did. I think that’s the difference for me. Delap should hit the target but I think it’s one of them that sometimes goes wide if you’re trying to find the corner. Brown I’d expect everyone on here to bury.

So the point you now concede is that despite the good work to get in that position Delap should have hit the target. If you don't hit the target you don't score. Apart from own goals obviously So as I said in that respect there is no difference between all three glaring misses. All three of our strikers failed dismally to trouble the keeper. Which perfectly illustrates the point I was making (which you ignored and picked up on a very small part of my post) which was that we desperately need a goalscorer or to somehow miraculously get one of our misfiring ones scoring again.

I don’t think it’s a bad miss though. It’s one that happens from that angle if you’re going for the corner. Missing wide on that side there isn’t an issue imo. It happens. Browns should never not hit the target.

Browns should never not hit the target. Mate they were both sitters and neither worked the goalkeeper. The good work by Delap prior to is irrelevant he should still have hit the target. He's a striker not a midfield creator. That game is a perfect demonstration of why we're towards the bottom of the league instead of towards the top. We missed a hatful of very scoreable chances and let in the only attempt the opposition had.
