That's quite a shock. Huge talent in a great band. Scary to think she was 79.
R.I.P.

Brilliant singer in a great band. RIP FM are my all time favourite band and to say I’m devastated is an understatement. I think it brings home how we are all ageing which is scary…RIP Christine…you will be missed 🙏

I have to admit i had no time for them in my punk/new wave years, they represented the previous generation in my rebellious eyes. But I started to listen and appreciate them by the end of the 80's - and these days I play their music more than most other bands. RIP Christine.

Hugely underrated talent. No mate. Properly rated by people who know Must admit I was quite shocked by this news until I realised Stevie Nicks is the main singer in FM and I don’t actually know who Christine is. Did she write the songs or something?

From what I’ve read it sounds like there was a certain disdain towards rumours at the time. Maybe it initially wasn’t taken as seriously as it should’ve been because the singles were so mainstream accessible and radio friendly? Retrospectively though it’s rightly seen as an all time classic album. I think it’s a timeless body of work. People will be jamming to go your own way and the chain in 100 years when we’re all long gone.

Did she write the songs or something? Your question deserves a better answer than I could give you in a few sentences. I'd encourage you to watch one of the documentaries about FM that will no doubt be on TV in the coming days. Their journey from being an underground blues band in the 60's to one of the greatest AOR bands of all time is a fascinating soap opera.

God the old guard are dropping like flies just now!🥺 I'm not a great fan of 70s Fleetwood Mac but I do own a copy of Rumours. Loved the stuff she did with Chicken Shack, particularly their version of I'd Rather Go Blind. A beautiful woman with a beautiful voice. RIP Christine and thanks for the music.

Did she write the songs or something? Can’t work out whether you’re being serious with that post. Either way it’s a pointless post and in poor taste.
