And that's why not watching would make a difference. And it would if the figures were down by millions like they should be. Nevermind. Make a difference to what mate? The world potentially. I get why people want to watch and that's their choice but I don't buy this argument that if figures were down by millions it wouldn't make FIFA listen. Yes this world cup has gone. But it send a message for the future and that matters.

They rely on advertisement and wouldn't be able to command the prices they will do for the advertising. It's absolutely key to it but would need people to stick to their guns. It would hit FIFA where it would hurt - their advertisers.

I’d admire your honesty but that’s you not “sticking to your guns”. The very thing you’re accusing the England team and the FA of not doing. Sounds like hypocrisy to me I’m sorry to say🤷🏻♂️

It’s tough to do on an individual level and near impossible to coordinate at large scale but a mass viewing boycott would have a huge impact, no point denying that

I'll be watching, then most likely get bored with our tactics and switch off.

I'm working from home, will try to catch some of it. Will be watching every game. The group stages can be a bit dull and often teams a bit cagier but a win can almost put you in the next phase in the opening game. More looking forward to see the USA later

Yep and it will be the first England game I watch since the Euro final. I can’t really be doing with them, but despite all the circus, it is the World Cup and at least the opposition will put some effort in as it’s not a friendly. Same, I only watch tournament games and as much as they try to say the Nations League is a tournament, it’s a boring, glorified friendly system to me. Come on England.

But to sit here and say I definitely will would be me lying and I don't do that. It's not happened yet, so it's nothing of the sort

Definitely tuning in now, it’s going to be interesting. Poor old Linker and co won’t know what to say and the person on the live feed delay button will have an itchy trigger finger 😂😂😂

Of course. It is the World Cup, no matter how different it feels. I don't have the normal buzz, but I'm not going to wait 8 years between two World Cups.

Yes. I'll be watching along with millions of other England fans. It's the World Cup ffs. And that's why not watching would make a difference. And it would if the figures were down by millions like they should be. Nevermind. They're not though. Shows how pointless this whole armbands nonsense is

Absolutely will not watch this match - FIFA is full of shithousery and sly, bullying tactics.
I will avoid watching it, simply as a personal stand. My wife thinks I will switch it on, so that's a another point of priciple - :-).
Have not watched a single England game, since the penalty shambles v Italy. The recent run of results underpinned it for me. The joke that is Qatar deserves to be sneered at.
That does not stop me wishing the team every success.

Anything less than 3-0 against Iran is not acceptable.
Saying that Iran will be a good team as they have Quieroz as their manager so it may possibly be tighter than we hope for.
