Not his team is just a bollocks excuse. To jump ship like he did so early on, he knew exactly what he was getting himself into. He’s been dreadful since day one, the last time I saw us play well was Blackburn away.

Yes 6 wins 4 draws and 3 losses would be acceptable The Birmingham, Coventry and Rotherham results are just unfathomable, just if we had drawn them giving, w4 d6 l3 would be better To be on the positive side it gives out the message to the owners a squad revamp is required in the window, How many times can we “revamp the squad”? How are we going to be able to considering we are likely broke?

Overrated by who? He has plenty to choose from and a good manager makes a good 11 out of them. Blaming the players is a clear sign of a manager who can't manage what he has. Those talented , huge squads in the play off places of course Plenty on here and as I've said before he may have a lot of options but that doesn't mean they're good options you could build a solid team from, I could put together a massive squad but trust me it would shite 😂 The players are the ones making individual mistakes, no ones telling them to do Cruyff turns in the box or making them lose concentration controling the ball, who else are we meant to blame? The bloke that brought them in, well he got the sack for partly that reason. You could try and blame Neil if you like but he's put them in numerous formations and set ups even changing it during games, there's only so much he can do until you say yep, it's the players, they aren't good enough.

After 4and a half years of watching this football, starting with Rowett, then Jones, O’Neill and Neil it’s actually quite obvious. We kid ourselves when we talk about the “ quality” of the squad. Quite simply it is appalling - if you look at todays starting 11 and subs there are 3 players who’d get into a side with serious intentions of being a top 4 team on a consistent basis. One has just played his first game following a serious injury, the other has played 4 or 5 games in another injury ravaged season, and the other is someone who has been ridiculed by our fans up until his emergence as our only competent left footed outlet. The rest are lower half Championship, top 10 Div 1 standard players. It’s sad, but we are a lower mid table team entirely on merit. Klopp would have his work cut out with this lot.

You can't knock a 2-0 win, but let's be honest we were outplayed after the first quarter and they could have scored 4 or 5.
There is something very strange about our results:
After last night's victory, our record against the top 9 teams is: Won 4, drawn 3, lost just 2.
Our record against the bottom 9 teams isn't bad either: Won 3, drawn 1, lost 2.
But look at the "meat in the sandwich" ; against the fellow middle 5 we haven't beaten one, and lost 4 times!
Is there any explanation for this?
Ever the optimist, we have now played most of the top teams away, so the "more difficult" half of the season is over. Here's hoping AN can get the team scoring more in the second half of the season.

They had 2 or 3 decent chances which they probably should have scored. But so did we. Powell should have scored in the first half. Delap was unlucky twice in the second and if Delap and Fosu had made the the right decisions on breakaways in the second half we'd have had 2 or 3 other golden opportunities. I don't remember them really threatening our goal on many more occasions. The vast majority of the corners and floated crosses came to nothing. Meat and drink for Souttar. In fact he couldn't have had a much easier reintroduction to the first team. He barely had to break sweat. Which says it all for me.

It doesn't help going behind every first shot against against us but Bursik should have been dropped by now. Coventry and Birmingham games were woeful and whilst not moaning re the win at Wigan, was as bad a game as you'll see but happily take those results Bonham played 4 games. 0.75 goals conceded per game. 50% cleansheets. 78% shots saved. Bursik played 16 games. 1.4 goals conceded per game. 5/16 cleansheets. 62% shits saved. Bonham has deserved more of a chance. hopefully bursik has been saving shots , though if it is as you have written , then that would explain why he never holds onto anything i agree stats are very important for goalies . you have to be able to keep the ball out of your net

As said before, we've played better and lost. One of the big plus points re having Powell back is that he can pop up with a goal when others don't.

2-0 was a brilliant result, but I must have been watching a different match.
Lutpon has two thirds of the possession, twice as much as Stoke. Luton had 15 shots at goal, twice as much as Stoke. Luton has 13 corners, quite a few due to our very dubious defending due to failing to control the ball.
I'm delighted by a win, we deserve some luck after other games have gone against us when we deserved better, but there is no way that was an improved performance. We have played better and lost. We were lucky Luton's finishing was so poor, as our GK wasn't forced into many (if any) brilliant saves.

I never felt like we were in any danger whatsoever to be honest, which is odd given how bad we are at home. It just felt comfortable.
