Neil isn’t doing very well.
That said, it’s a bit weird how some fans are adamant he should have “no excuses” while continuing to prop up the buffoon that created this shambles with a transfer strategy seemingly based on an episode of Challenge Anneka.

Well no it wouldn’t be luck, he’d hopefully reshape things using said windows. What do you suggest we do? Get rid now and find another sap? How’s that been working out for us? We change managers at a rate far slower than many teams. That “stability” hasn’t done much for us, has it? He’s been crap since turning up. We actually look like we’ve gone backwards. At least with MON, he had an excuse that the players were all still arriving/getting fit. AN has proceeded to chop and change and produce no obvious vision for the side he wants to set up or the team he wants to build. He should get until the end of the season, assuming he doesn’t relegate us. If he doesn’t push us close to playoffs, we should be considering our options. I don't have a lot of faith in AN but that is extremely unfair. As long as he shows some small improvement after getting a few players in in January his job should be safe. The fact that so many players are out of contract at the end of the season will be of great value to AN in June and allow him to reshape the side as he wishes. But at the moment it has a destabilising effect, which combined with AN's abrasive manner has led to him losing the dressing room. He certainly seemed chastened in his interview after the game. So, hopefully,he has learnt a lesson and will be able to repair his relationship with the players. Personally, I think the players have a similar opinion of him as myself. "He is a Bullshitter".We have to hope that he is a Lucky one. If he is still here in January 2024 I think there will be a major demand for change. Then again, I may be wrong. I am not bayern.

Tony Pulis' first 15 games in charge in his second stint got the exact same number of points as Neil. But it was only towards the end of this stint that things started to pick up after he was allowed to make some very significant signings such as Lee Hendrie and one guy who was so good he went on to have a pub named after him. Before that it was all pretty dire and he'd joined in the summer rather than part way through a season and had already made several signings. So yeah, I'd say it's worth giving the guy a little more time. Very interesting fact and definitely worth reposting.
