The previous manager when he came in also had the same type of shit sandwich, as did the manager before him. All of them derided as clowns when they left the club. Neil will have the same thrown at him, only this time we know he's competent at this level with other clubs. It's a never-ending cycle with only one common component I'm afraid. It's hard to argue with that right now but the previous managers bat shit mental business last summer can't be ignored. Just have to hope Neil has better prowess in the market than the three previous idiots we've had in charge. The point is, MON took over a team marooned at the bottom of the league and had us around 7th in the form table for his first season in charge. The fact we're now back in this mess is because the owners haven't learned a single thing. They allowed an inexperienced Championship manager full reign to design a transfer process and fill it with his men and gave him full control of the coffers. Just like they did with Rowett and also Jones, which is why we ended up with the likes of James McClean as a wide forward in a three, Benik Afobe as a lone target man, Stephen Ward as a flying left wing back. The fact Neil is struggling now is nothing more than chance. It could, and probably should have been the last manager when you weigh the two situations up. The managers are sadly nothing more than pawns in this new version of Chess called "incompetent ownership".

Correct, but he’s fundamentally failed to improve us in any areas like confidence, attitude, fight or desire. He hasn’t improved us at all Attitude, fight and desire can’t be coached on the training ground. A player either has all that or they haven’t. The majority of ours are happy as long they are playing, they couldn’t give a stuff about trying to achieve anything as a team. Completely disagree. A good manager can motivate a collection of individuals to exceed the sum of their parts. Neil has failed to do this and hasn’t improved us a jot

Picking up O'Neils dogshit was no mean task.

Admittedly Im an internet fan for 80% of season, but I normally enjoy a good stream and sequester myself away in back bedroom in complete isolation
There was a childrens Halloween/Bonfire night party downstairs with 8 toddlers running around squealing and screaming full of sugar.
Today things got so bad that by 4.45pm I was dressed as a skeleton eating jelly and ice cream at the kitchen table

Honestly it’s just a chore to go to the games. Even before a ball is kicked I know we’re going to put in a gutless performance, I don’t even get disappointed anymore. We aren’t going anywhere with this lot anytime soon.

Thanks for taking what little love i had for you away today. Thank you for being gutless spineless hopeless players who aren't fit to wear the shirt. Thanks for nothing these last few years We, as fans deserve better You don't deserve us. We don't deserve better at all, it's a symbiotic process and were part and parcel to the negative feedback loop that we find ourselves in. We play bad, the fans boo, the pressure is higher, the players play bad ad-infinitum. We deserve each other at the moment. The sooner our fanbase realises this, the better. We are part of the problem. This is not a group of toddlers who need encouragement and nurturing, they are grown men being rewarded with life-changing money to face the pressures that they’re facing. I find it quite frankly offensive whenever anyone suggests that a bit of groaning and booing makes us culpable for the shambles of the last 5 years and counting.

My love for football is all but gone, I'm literally hanging on by my fingertips because of Stoke, and they're doing their level best to stamp all over them!!!
The shining light that was once football has all but burnt out!!!

It’s not good enough is it. Week after week it just drains what little enthusiasm you have left. I’m weary of it all. I am thinking of having a break from watching it on a saturday afternoon. Cant justify watching 90 minutes of complete rubbish every Saturday.

Thanks for nothing these last few years We, as fans deserve better You don't deserve us. The love and interest has totally gone A total source of killing my weekend. You bunch of overpaid cunts I had the same thoughts seasons ago, I couldn’t wait for match days. Now I couldn’t give a shit, no more forcing myself to games, no more thinking whilst at the games I wish I wasn’t here, no more waiting for yonks to get off the ground and mainly feeling pissed off watching crap, really does spoil weekends. Weekends are precious and Saturdays I love to see my Grandson and see his smile and spending time walking the dog, there’s families really up against it financially and these bunch of tossers at SCFC don’t deserve my support or money.

Must admit that I’m starting to get bored of it. I came in last night absolutely shattered from an hard week at work & thought to myself “Do I bother going tomorrow or just have a day with my feet up”. Never in my life have I thought like that before when stoke have been playing. Looks like a lot of other fans are getting the same feelings as when we won the penalty today myself & everyone around me just sat there. When Baker scored I couldn’t even be arsed to get up, Along with a lot of people around me. I have never in my life seen so many people stay seated & silent following a Stoke goal.

When Stoke lost, I was pig sick for a week, now I'm over it in minutes. That's me, just the same.... Leaving the ground I came out f***in fuming again, 500 yards up the road, and I was laughing and joking about a completely different topic!!!

I was going to say you were talking shit but several other people beat me to it 😀 Care to explain why? Or are you part of the 80% of this board who have no measure of critical thinking? You are talking attention seeking shit, no deeper explanation is needed. And your made up statistic is bollocks too.

Myself and my best mate are weary of it too…so much so we ain’t going against Luton. He has to be up at 4am for work I don’t fancy going on my own…this current bunch really have destroyed any hope we had. Me and my mate have been going to Stoke for over 40 years but we are just about done with it at the moment. Thank God we got the World Cup break coming up. Same here. I really don't want to see that daft twat running up and down the touchline like Zebedee on pills when they beat us again.

Not too sure about all this to be honest. Because we were so poor I was able to
1) Do the dishes 2) Vacuum upstairs and down 3) Sort out my washing after a long trip away 4) Reply to various emails that needed handling 5) Back-up my hard drives securely 6) Run a thorough antivirus scan of my PC, detecting some sneaky malware!
Cracking afternoon all around. Other than when I looked at the screen that had the match on, then it got really, really shit.

What an absolute load of shit. The club and players have had an astonishingly easy ride from the fanbase so far. always amazes me that folk say the fans are part of the problem. We once called ourselves the 12th Man, and I was always proud of the part we played in keeping our club up in spirit and carrying them through the tough times. The "roar" against city will remain in my memory for the rest of my life. If it weren't for us, we would have lost that game. We played as much of a part in our rise as we have our demise. We can't have a double standard here where we praise ourselves for the part we played during our prem days, but act like none of the shit times were going through are any of our fault. Our away support is fucking insane and they are doing us proud, and our away performances reflect that, it's not a coincidence. The Brit used to be called The Fortress, it's now a pit of toxicity. If our home fanbase were like our away support I would bet my left bollock that our performances were better. We have a bigger part to play to help turn this around, those of you who don't see it are part of the problem.

My love for football is all but gone, I'm literally hanging on by my fingertips because of Stoke, and they're doing their level best to stamp all over them!!! The shining light that was once football has all but burnt out!!! Spot on - you've summed up exactly how I feel about the game in general, and Stoke in particular. It's modern day football that's killing it for me, players more concerned on how they look, than the actual game... Feign injuries... Arrogance... Commentators and pundits alike literally kissing players arses... Socks pulled up over their knee caps... Virtue signalling... Nah,I'm done with all that shit now!!! I don't watch Premier League games... I don't watch motd... I don't watch champions league... I don't watch internationals... And I won't be watching the World Cup... I much prefer grass roots football, like the 1st rounds of the FA Cup, but as soon as the premier league teams join in, I'm done!!! Like I say, I'm hanging in there just about with Stoke as they're my team, and always will be, but I've totally had enough!!!
