Did he just imply he’s got 20 games to turn things around? Better get cracking then Alex.

Did he just imply he’s got 20 games to turn things around? Better get cracking then Alex. Haven’t listened to it yet. But if true, it’s a lot longer than a lot of managers get at a lot of other clubs anyway. The bloke needs time, MON fixed most of the legacy player issues, now Alex just needs to sort out the wheat from the (awful lot) of chaff MON brought to the club. Stated before, think Alex is as good as we’re going to get right now. Wolves couldn’t even get the QPR manager.

Once again he said we have had good performances. I dread to think what his idea of a poor performance is.
I am fed up with his excuses.

In fairness we are playing some decent stuff. But we are getting punished because we can't score, putting pressure on our defence.

If that is true then it beggars belief. It won’t be true, he keeps his cards very close to his chest with stuff like that. We don’t even hear when injured players are back anymore until the team sheet comes out at 2pm

when he first came, I really took to his tough stance to the media and contrary approach with interviewers, but on the back of a string of defeats, there's only so much more "performance is better than results" mantra I can take before I switch off

Tomorrow is arguably one of the biggest games in our recent history. Win it, and we should start picking up.
Lose it and I fear the club will go into a tailspin that will be very difficult to get out of. One thing is for certain, we can't afford to go into the World Cup break in the bottom three.

Just not okay, on a professional or human level.

Journalism is not as easy as some people think, but how has no-one asked him about our inability to bounce back after conceding the first goal? To me it's the defining issue about our bad run of form (and the issue dates back further than that of course).
I still think Rotherham was an anomaly, but against Coventry and Norwich we matched or bettered our opponent for over half of the match, but then were dominated as soon as we conceded the first goal.

Someone posted before our most recent loss that, since relegation from the PL, we had only won 4 of the previous 83 games in which we conceded first...if that unbelievably shite stat was correct, it's now 4 from 84! No team does appalling stats like quite like us it seems...

I think given we haven’t been playing that badly, if we can win tonight I fancy us to win the next couple.
If we lose though, definitely the opposite could happen and we could go into a tailspin.
Very interesting game ahead.

We'll win tonight. Bar Coventry second half we have hardly been awful. Norwich you would expect to beat us, and we just made silly mistakes. Wigan aren't on that level and we just need to keep plugging away.
3-0 Stoke Potters.

A mere 17 days since many on here were predicting a surge towards promotion we’re now at the knicker wetting relegation fears stage!
Neil is a good manager and we’ve seen the odd glimpse of that so far but he needs more time to build consistency.
There are easily eight worse teams in this league, let alone three.
