I know I'm probably biased because he's family, but he's doing a tremendous job at Plymouth. I'm certain that a championship club, such as West Brom will snap him up sooner or later. Everton would be his dream job but reckon he's going to have a long, successful career. I was hoping we'd go for him but it wasn't to be.

He's definitely a manager to watch out for in the future. His feet are well and truly on the ground and is a terrific man manager. Who knows what the future holds but I wouldn't mind him here if it doesn't work out for AN.

Last manager to move from Plymouth to Stoke was the living legend that is Tony Pulis and we went on to enjoy 10 years in the Premier league!
This is worth a try.
Much better than the pin and a blindfold approach which has delivered the succession of ridiculous con men we have been subjected to since Mark Hughes left the club!

He also seems to be under the radar because he's rarely mentioned to replace other managers in the higher leagues. I'm guessing that's due to him never being involved in a relegation scrap. I just hope he gets Plymouth promoted.

Go get him if by Xmas we have not improved massively and I don't expect we will! Thing is though if Plymouth are still top or thereabouts and we are are struggling would he really want to jeopardise everything he's built up there to come to a poisoned job. Look at Jones when he come here, I mean Luton took him back and its worked out for him but I think he'd hope to get Plymouth up into our league and stick it out with them.

It also depends on whether he's one of those managers who leans heavily on his assistant or Head of Recruitment, like Jones did at Luton - leading him to be a fish out of water at Stoke. Anyway, unlike Schumacher AN is proven and I'm willing to let him have the World Cup break to scout out team strengthening and the January window to bring in new players before thinking about other managers.

Jones MKII if he ever came to Stoke which I doubt very much will happen. AN will sort the mess out that MON left. Gouranga.

No more managerial changes please. I'm absolutely done with them. So you’re saying if we never win again you would still keep a manager because you’re fed up of changing them ( and NO I’m not calling for Neil to go ) ???

So you’re saying if we never win again you would still keep a manager because you’re fed up of changing them ( and NO I’m not calling for Neil to go ) ??? It's a turn of phrase. We've had 5 managers since January 2018 and each appointment has made us worse.

He’s also made a goal scorer of Cosgrove which is no mean feat. Schuey’s at the wheel.

Is it the same Cosgrove we were linked to a while back? Yep. Sam Cosgrove. Did nowt at Brum and then likewise at Shrewsbury and Wimbledon. I happened to see him play for the latter 2 and he was hopeless. But he’s now leading the line for the table toppers.

As long as you have told him and he realises Hoever aint no right back.Junior is. We need a No1 keeper. We need a dominant centre half and left back,a proper centre foward then all systems go.
