Lots of mentions on here that the squad is better that others in the division and its underperforming.
Made me think do we need a catalyst signing. That one signing that brings it all together and speeds up a reaction.
Or as others have said do we just ditch the lot and start over?

Brian Talbot type yes However window shut we need to get more out of what we have Currently poor in both boxes, general play is OK Atm just comes down to hard work and persistence

Tymon coming back could be that sort of catalyst without making a signing espescially combined with Powell replacing Smallbone in the team. We need to create more chances.

Fingers crossed, problem may be that we already have a Bournemouth midfielder here on loan. Apologies to him, but I've forgotten his name 😔

A bit of chemistry. It's certainly time for men in white coats to cart the leadership team away if that's what you mean? 😆

We need a complete overhaul.

This is the answer but must include the manager! An actual rocket I hope It is nearly bonfire night. I remember saving up 5 shillings for a rocket from Elkes shop in Edensor Road. I lit it, full of anticipation, and the top bit flew off sideways with a pathetic splutter.

I bought some fireworks from a stand on the side of the road in ...I think was N Carolina on holiday. The things were lethal...and real cheap. My gf at the time after a few drinks let the big green one off in the hotel bathroom and it left a giant hole in the shower curtain. Was funny at the time I guess but took ages to clean scorch marks off the bath and floor. We were quite young

Read the instructions and thought it prudent to take it somewhere it’s size warranted - according to said instructions. So we took it to Dawlish Warren ( huge beach in Devon). Two of us carried it, my two young boys in tow. Placed on beach, unravelled the fuse and lit it. From about 150 feet away. Bloody hell. It was like a howitzer shell had landed. We were covered in sand. As were the two elderly very surprised dog walkers. We were quite young

Were excellent. Seem to remember buying a case of beer, lotting them off by the hotel pool late at night and heads popping out everywhere. We were still quite young

We need another Glen Whelan to sit in front of that sieve of a defence of ours and give a few bollickings now and again. Thompson is best we've got in that position at the moment but AN insists on shoring that position up with players more suited to forward midfield roles. We also need Souttar at his best back in the middle of the defence.
OS.

We also need Souttar at his best back in the middle of the defence. OS. We don't need any more sideways and back movement thanks! I would say we definitely need somebody in his mould, someone who can organize, keep us defensively solid and just keep the ball ticking over. There is no doubt in my mind that the midfielders we have don't seem to fit into any kind of cohesive unit. Baker, Smallbone and Laurent seem to rotate all over the pitch with no idea of discipline or what sort of spaces are being left behind them. That is then leading to players (generally Wilmot) getting sucked into the spaces and at danger of us being ripped apart. It's ok to be fluid in position when you have players that are confident, capable and technically gifted enough to receive the ball and move it on quickly with little risk of the ball being turned over. The flip side is that if you are not like that then every turn over is a massive risk with players out of position and acres of space for the opposition to work with. This team needs a real dose of realism injected into it, we are going to have to go backwards to go forwards and by that I mean we need players that can work to a rigid formation and battle our way out of the mess we have landed ourselves in.

As regards a catalyst, we have still got some possible squad additions when fit who could make an impact and a difference. Souttar of course, plus the forgotten men, Tymon, Kilkenny and Tezgel.

I thought changing the manager was the catalyst?
'We only need a decent manager to propel us up the table'
What's gone wrong?
