I can't quite grasp what's going on. I missed the first half today, but the stream I was watching the Norwich commentators seemed to be saying Stoke were the better team for much of it. 2nd half, bit of a scramble in our box first minute or two, but for the next 20-odd minutes we camped in their half, had a number of chances (despite messing up some good positions). Powell and Brown being the most wasteful. Arguably should've had a pen. Then they get in our box once and score. And once more and score.... and the game is gone. It's surely not that we're a crap team per se - otherwise we wouldn't be creating chances to mess up, we wouldn't be having the majority of possession - much of it in the oppo's half. For me, AN has fixed some of the issues we had under MoN, how he gets that bit of accuracy in our forward play to turn it into goals I don't know. Good post OB Just what the actual fuck is going on?  AN was brought in because he " knows the Championship" Or does he? Maybe the players are just not good enough, but I cant buy into that as most of the players from other teams I have not even heard of, Grrr

Any reasonable Stoke fan and probably Norwich fan would admit that 3-1 wasn't a fair reflection on the match. Moments and goals often change matches, today was exactly that, Fosu should have had a penalty and Powell should have buried his header, both crucial moments in the game. Norwich get a second and their confidence soars and the game opens up, which suits them..the results aren't going our way, but we are nowhere near a bottom 3 side..that said, we need to arrest the slide soon. The trouble is we are a typical bottom three side, with supposedly good player, but no heart or fight, the kind of team that plays well, loses and slips quietly in to relegation

I don’t think we’re big enough or tough enough.

Worth a revisit... When your team's on a six game winless streak, call....RentaStoke If your football team is awful just call RentaStoke When your goalless teenage loanee needs a goal or two or three Remember what you see is not a mystery, just...RentaStoke I remember when Stoke were held up as the perfect way to get promoted and stay in the Premier League. Similarly, we should be pointed at for all relegated PL clubs to learn from, how not to do relegation from the top flight. "Hi, it's Wigan Athletic here. We've won 1 of the last 9 games, can't afford to pay our players and are fighting possible administration. We've got a free slot for a home game on Wednesday night this week so please could we book a Stoke City special to arrive around 7.45pm. Thanks." "No problem, that booking's all confirmed Mr Richardson. Could we tempt you with our Deluxe Package upgrade- ideal if you have a player who hasn't scored for awhile?"

We aren't getting any rub of the green also at the moment which isn't helping, when Angus Gunn starts making good saves against us, you get the feeling it ain't going through be your day. You make your own luck

A championship standard goalkeeper saves all 3 of them today without a doubt

Just sitting in one of my locals And a die hard Norwich supporting mate has just come up to me and said Stoke were by far the better side At least I suppose it’s something to cling to

Ita a pity we can't ask the FA for a special ruling, where when we concede the 1st.goal we can just leave the field and hand over the 3 pts, and the FA give the other team a 3 goal win.

Missed this last night. Incredible support at a time of financial uncertainty in our day to day lives. You could certainly understand it had we had sub 500 attending a game in a place that is very awkward to get to.

We totally dominated the game before Norwich got their first, and even until they got their second we were the dominant team. We even created just as good chances, and probably should have had a penalty, but despite of that we lose again due to our lack of ability in both boxes!

That game was just odd.
We must stop teams hitting us on the break. We must be more clinical in creating good chances for our forwards.
Sounds like a midfield issue to me. Souttar will help but we don’t have intensity nor are clinical. More focus all round.

So... After a week or 3 training with AN we get fitter and up to speed and playing with intensity. That lasts for a game or 3 then we have a slump and lose the intensity again. Its like in an individual game but on a bigger scale... we'll get the second wind soon. Give it another game or 3 and the intensity will come back... and we'll be good for the rest of the season then. That's my take on it.
