A lonely guy paces his cramped one bedroom apartment.
He's bored, frustrated and disillusioned with his life.
The days run into nights and back into days again. The flap of his sandals on the stone floors create small ripples of air that barely punctuate the dry desert heat.
The calls to prayer from the minaret of a nearby mosque finally shake him from the introspective stupor that envelopes his consciousness.
He reaches for a back-pack in the corner of the room and unsheathes a block of cold modern plastic.
Flipping open the laptop he takes a deep breath and glances briefly at the cracked tiles of the ceiling as if searching for the hands of a greater power to guide his actions; or, restrain him from following a track that he knows now must be inevitably trod.
Feverishly he begins to punch at the keyboard. Beads of perspiration trace rivulets down his brow. Momentarily he pauses to stroke the sparse hairs of his beard.
The typing continues until , like a great warrior-tribesman dispatching a dying foe he strikes the "Return" key and focuses intently on the monitor.
The loading icon spirals, the only motion on the white screen. Gradually the azure serpent of the address window crept along the text that the man had entered.

The screen begins to fill with intense colours. Beckoning images of delights only half imagined. Caramel skin and ebony tresses framing eyes like pools of honey-milk.
Smiles that said "Yes. I am the one that will be with you."
But suddenly the fantasy is snatched from him. The promises of lifelong companionship, of chaste and honourable soul-mates is evaporating.
A thick red strip appears above these visions of heaven on earth. No matter how he tries to maintain the loyalty of his attentions, the vibrant red banner with its alluring porcelain script begins to mesmerise him.

His mouse guides the flickering cursor upwards. It hovered momentarily then settles on the highlighted link.
