We could still be playing now and we still wouldn’t have scored. Not a performance that I’m worried about at all, just too many shots straight at the keeper, although he did pull off 1 or 2 great saves. Thompson also put a couple of cracking balls in late on which nobody gambled on in the box. Campbell header wide was from one

Don't agree at all, Saturday his run and cross set's up the goal for Smallbone. Last night again, plays an excellent ball on his left foot to create a goalscoring opportunity we should've done better with. He's got a couple more assists too, as well as goal wrongly ruled out and some excellent saves from keepers. With a bit more luck he'd be sat on 5 goals and 5 assists this season. As it stands he's our most effective central striker, Fosu & Campbell wide of him is our strongest attack right now imho. I can’t agree sorry. He dodders around like an old man and just looks past it. He adds nothing to it and it wasn’t bad luck he hasn’t got any goals. He’s lost his pace and it shows. Last night he might as well not been on the pitch. A lot of that was the managers fault but then he went deeper and deeper which he didn’t have to do. Bloody hell Bayern, flip the record for god's sake.

Campbell header wide was from one Think I could’ve put that one away with a blindfold on😅 The Delap one in the first half was a bigger sitter. Both poor in front of goal last night.

This is one of the few times in recent years where I have felt we have lost a game without it being concerning.
Move on, games like this happen, on another day could have had a 4 or 5-1 win.

It's very concerning. We could be as low as 20th tonight whereas with a win we would be now sitting 8th. We have to find a way of being consistent especially at home where form is a worry.

If Tymon was on the pitch last night I think we would've got a result. Fox is solid but Thompson put in 2 cracking crosses in 5 minutes, 2 more than Fox did in the rest of the game.

Powell, Brown, Souttar and Thompson were in the squad/U21s this week. By some miracle, they may all stay fit. By another, we may just keep our first 11 fit as well.
You look at the teams that go up in this league, their main strikers, main creators, main defenders all play 40+ games a year.
That’s the difference. We have a great squad for this league. But missing Souttar, Powell, Brown and Tymon isn’t helping us become consistent.

It’s exactly the type of game Tymon was needed. Perhaps Fox will play some games where we need to sit deep, but when we are supposed to go and be in charge of the game, you need a left back who can provide that attacking threat.

All those attempts & no goals, sometime soon those attempts are going to go in & someone is in for a hiding.

All those attempts & no goals, sometime soon those attempts are going to go in & someone is in for a hiding. How long have we been saying this? Yet we only have to go one goal behind and me might as well shake hands and walk off.

We were really good last night and it was definitely a positive performance. On a different day we win by 3/4 goals easily.
However, it is a pretty c**p result bearing in mind how well we have done in recent weeks to pick up results against Burnley, Sheffield and Preston.
Typical Stoke - two steps forward, one step back!
