When no neighbours are at home here, at least not above me, I have no water, pipe or faucet problems.
Even though I don't have huge expectations on the service team I will tell them to fix my fan, my stove/oven and I will mention the water pipes again ...
Nowadays I have noticed my faucet vibrates up to 1 cm, which is a lot, if a neighbour above turns on his water at the same time as I do have my water flowing.
Q: Any idea why? I don't expect the service team to know ... š«

I would consider calling in a priest or moving to Amityville where there'll be less activity than whatever kind of mad place you currently live in.

Does it set off the fire alarm by chance?

I bet some clever plumber's put fancy curves in the pipes where they turn corners, it makes vibrations go through the whole system if you put curves at corners.... think trumpets and trombones. Its best if the pipes go in straight lines and turn at right angles. Some plumber told me that ages ago

Does it set off the fire alarm by chance? Hopefully not, since my neighbour below me to the left keeps knocking on her ceiling if so. An older lady. She must have the longest stick in the world.

No leakage yet, as far as I know. I bought a humidity meter to control if there was a leakage. It only gave signal when I pushed it to my thigh.

Their answer last time was "the noise comes from someone's bad gasget. But no person has made any complaint about it, so there's nothing we can do."
That was before my faucet started to vibrate.

I did the dishes just now and someone above turned on the water as well. Immediately the pipes in my kitchen started to whine, they sounded like bad breaks.

The tap will either need a new washer or replacing. If not that, it could be water hammer.

The tap will either need a new washer or replacing. If not that, it could be water hammer. The girl below me believes it's a water hammer, hydraulic shock problem. It arises when the water is stopped or changes direction, the definition says. She thought it was me since she heard it above her kitchen, but I'm not doing anything and it occurs anyway. The plumber (who was here to fix something else) said it's from above me, a bad gasket or something. I thought it was the pipes about to falling apart. Changes direction? Where? Why?

Iām not a plumber but had a similar sounding problem recently and that was the advice given. Replacing the tap fixed the issue for us. Incidentally, I bet a few members of the board saw Water Hammer support World of Twist.

This thread is priceless. I didn't know Sweden did innuendo of this quality...
"The girl below me believes it's a water hammer, hydraulic shock problem"
I can see Bernard Bresslaw delivering that to a corpsing Sid James...
