I have a problem with my fire alarm.
Last week it went off after I what thought wouldn't result in that. Just normal dinner preparation on the stove.
But this Monday it went off again and this time without any meal preparation. No smell from electronics, no car pollution outdoors, no distant fire, and not my brand new vaccum cleaner on or any other smelly electronic equipment and no candle lights. There was no smoke or smell anywhere.
And it can't be the batteries. First of all, they're new. Second, if they were old or had expired it would result in short signals as a warning sign.
Half an hour before the alarm went off I had cleaned the floor with some new ecological cleaning stuff. The bottle basically says "good for the environment, bad for humans", you have to wash the skin immediately if it comes on you. As if humans don't belong to the planet.
Q: Can a ordinary simple fire alarm start if you clean the floor? The content? Can such a liquid be flammable? It sounds strange to me. Does/Should a fire alarm react to humidity? The manual doesn't mention it.

Change the battery otherwise I’ll read this thread again on my retinal oatcake scanner app (ROSA) in 2031 👍🏻

Change the battery otherwise I’ll read this thread again on my retinal oatcake scanner app (ROSA) in 2031 👍🏻 But as I said, they're new. And it says there will be short beeping signals when it's time. It sounds very loud, one steady cutting fire alarm signal that goes on and on and on.

Mine went off during lockdown when my wife was in the shower and I'd taken the opportunity therefore in the other bathroom to knock out a rather intense wank whilst she wasn't looking.
Remember thinking 'fucking hell better slow down'

Could well be that, if you change batteries more so as can be sensitive Either that or your house is on fire The house isn't on fire. However, my fan above the stove doesn't work - and perhaps someone can come from the service team next week and check it out. The fire alarm might detect someone making meatballs? Humidity. Ok. So it can be that?! I simply have to remember to turn it off then, before washing the kitchen and hallway floors. The sound would be different if it were the batteries, it has to!! If the batteries are bad and the fire alarm turns on like that when you're not at home - they have to break the door! Within 5-10 seconds most of the neighbours all around me - 8 households, 3 above, 3 below and 1 on each side, started to knock on the walls and floor/ceiling. Quite funny, but frightening at the same time. Noone checked if I'd passed out.

Remember thinking 'fucking hell better slow down' So when you say "went off" it's actually on? 🤔 Yeah mate you turn it on so it's ready to go off. Then to stop it when it's going off you turn it on so it's ready to go off again when you need it. If after going off you turn it on but due to a malfunction it's still going off then you say the alarm has stayed on and still going off rather than stayed off and is still going on grammarhow.com/alarm-went-off-meaning/

I have a problem with my fire alarm. Of course you do. I'm taking more or less a week off next week to get things sorted. Possibly the service team can get here on Tuesday already to check the fan, the stove, the oven, the water pipes and the fire alarm. 👍
