Is it the first time we have worn it this season? If so why? We seem to have worn the black shirt on a couple of boiling hot days when white would have been a much more sensible choice.
I loved the white shirt with the sash the minute I saw it and last night confirmed just what a good design it is. More please - let's not forget we have a 100% win record wearing it.

We need to wear it more often. The problem with the all white ensemble - which looks incredible - is a lot of teams have white in their tops and also white shorts. So we might see last night's getup v Norwich, Luton?, Boro (are they all red still?), perhaps Burnley.
Still that's 4 more wins on the board. Just need to learn to batter teams in the other kits now.

Maybe Coventry too - that would be cool as both teams have vintage 70s kits this season.

It reminds me of some of the fabulous 70's South American national team shirts. Awesome.

It’s the first away game we’ve had against a team whose home kit doesn’t feature any white. Technically the white one is our first choice away kit but given how many teams have white in their home kit I think the black one is likely to be used more. Even last night we played in all white, which is technically using the home shorts.

They never actually presented the white or black shirt as either “first-choice” or “third” kits. They’re both just away kits of equal status, as it were.

I suppose because the white one was released first I give that one more prominence in my mind but officially it seems they are on equal footing.

I know is only a small thing but like the announcement/graphic of choice of kit pre game. We're entering the modern age.
Coming soon, fax the club your fave kit

Can I just point out one more time that the black or white shirts or clothing on a hot day is nonsense myth. If you do the sums black is better in hot weather. The strip looked great mind although I prefer the black shorts combo like the original. Look at that mighty fella i2-prod.stokesentinel.co.uk/incoming/article7157916.ece/ALTERNATES/s615b/374093_2005-02-08__mark_Jimmy__mark_-_mark_Greenho.jpg

Wouldn't even be against having it make the odd appearance at home.

I accept that LOOSE black clothing seems to work in hot sunny climates and is the clothing of choice in many hot coutries amongst country folk. But in my climbing days I have climbed in hot countries and also climbed with locals of those countries. Like me when climbing in heat they preferred white or light coloured shirts and trousers. This MAY be because climbing clothing tends to fit qite tightly - completely the opposite of the baggy black clothing work by country folk. I do know on days when I wore black T shirts in hot climates they always felt hotter than light or white ones which seemed to reflect more heat. I also notice that the white or silver cars I have had have been cooler than the black or red ones when I get into them after they have been parked in the sun! At the end of they day most people wear what they find most comfortable in extreme conditions.

It's to do with the heat flux from the sun heating the body vs. dissipation of heat flux from the body caused by the exercise. The cars aren't providing any heat source of their own so don't need to dissipate their heat they just need to reflect the sun. But I digress.

Call me old-fashioned if you like but I see no reason why we couldn't have played in red and white stripes last night. Of course we should wear a second strip if there is a colour clash but there was no need yesterday. It's done purely to sell more shirts.
