what a night! went in the Vale end with 1 Stoke fan mate and 2 Valiants. Went mental when Stieno scored, then turned around expecting a smack but the whole area were celebrating ;D My Vale mates shit it and moved further along

Dont even need to see the link. Its as clear as a Billy Bell.
I was in the Lorne Street that night. Remember the Hamill erupting to celebrate what was a class goal.
Didnt Gleggy get the first?
Was that the last decent turn out at the Vale

Great night, I was 10 years old and standing with my brother in law in the home part of the railway end, remember him saying if Stoke score dont cheer. When the first went in I automatically thought, stay still, dont shout, but everyone around me was also a Stoke fan who had got tickets for their end and we all just went mental hugging each other, the police soon ran in and cordened off a line between us and the soap dodgers! Great memories.
I also love the roar as Jonny B beats the last man before his cross - GOOOOOO ONNNNN!!!!
PS, Pisser, something I missed - how ace were them half a garden sheds they used as dugouts. We had many a good time in primary school having petty digs at fail fans - 'at least we havnt got a garden shed sawn in half for our dugouts and a strip that looks like bad weather!!' ;D

I got in free to this game as I voluntered to do a collection for Hospita Radio. Had to collect in the Vale End and somehow kept a lid on it when Steino scored. Loads of Vale fans refused to give money cos I had a red bucket!!! ;D
