Gives Alex Neil a bit more time on the training ground familiarising himself with the squad. Hopefully we will have Sterling, Gayle and Kilkenny back in the frame. Harry Clarke can't be too far off either.
While I'm annoyed the games been cancelled and think it should have went ahead. I can't help but think it will only benefit the squad and work in our favour.

Anything that avoids us having to put out that shit show of a team again has got to be a bonus. It's gone from one of my can do games to an unknown but I'll live with that.

Agreed. There will always be downsides to a postponed Championship match as there are so many games to fit in. But AN will certainly feel the benefit of a few more consecutive days training with the players before the next match. And the fewer games missed by the best of our injured players has to be a good thing. Hopefully our next game will show the players in a more positive light than what we saw against Reading.

It’s a massive boost on the injury front and longer for Neil to work with the players to get his ideas across

Luton might have lost a few by the Time it's re arranged so mad nath won't come here and play us off the park. Maybe the players will actually look like footballers too with a bit more miles in the legs

He can try a few things out against Hull on tuesday and then have at least a week and maybe more to prepare. The international break will give him even more time. Maybe our preseason should start on Wednesday or Thursday.

From a wanting to go to the match perspective, it's really annoying and will probably be rescheduled for a weekday evening when I'm working. Definitely a poor decision to postpone all the football this weekend.
However, from a Stoke City perspective it's probably a good thing. We're in poor form and the squad is a mess with a new manager who has been thrown into the deep end with precious little time to get his ideas across. A gap allows us more time to mentally reset and shake off the bad vibes. Injured key players have more time to get fit. And the manager has more time to work with the squad and get his ideas across. I was expecting a bad result this weekend so we might have dodged a bullet football wise.

I haven't got to watch us.
After last week's debacle I'm quite happy about the fact we aren't playing, I am pissed off that all football has been culled though.

Agreed..Neil needs all the time he can get so his boys can get their act together. As said above, life should indeed go on but let's face it, it was never going to work like that and all the royalists wouldn't allow it to be any other way. So take the opportunity that's become available Stoke!

No positives. Another Saturday game lost along with the two so far moved to a Sunday at midday. With work etc, Saturday games are a chance for me and the son and heir to let the hair down so to speak. Football should be 3pm Saturdays, the end. Its the day out, fans across the country pay for and make travel arrangements from afar, do the suits care? Not one jot. If it was across the board a government decision including all sport then fair enough. The Premier League and EFL need to get their act together. If midweek fixtures go ahead then surely next weekends can be bought forward to Thursday / Friday evenings with little disruption. The weekend then belongs to Her Majesty and rightly so. Sort it suits.
