The Chase cancelled so we can have footage of some cars moving slowly. Nothing's actually happened yet.

When London Bridge falls, nearly the whole country will close down. Even the TV will shut down apart from the News. Disney + better not as the new Thor movie is streaming He dies in the end

The latter part of the Elizabethan Age was also characterised by the emergence of the 'me, me, me/I want it now/Everything bad that happens is somebody else's fault/I have no personal responsibility for anything that happens to me/it's the job of the Government to protect me from the cradle to the grave' generation. The faults of Boris and Liz are as nothing compared to those of Starmer, McDonnell, Corbyn, Raynor, and their economically illiterate cohorts. It's always easier to criticise and carp when you are in Opposition and have responsibility for nothing. So the people in power for the last 15 yrs are not to blame for anything???? To be fair, his logic is flawless. We should save our criticism for those who haven't been in power, not those who have actually been making the decisions. The bloke (or woman) is a genius! (Although I think it's Rayner with an "E").

10 days of mourning. No public events in that time. Isn’t that just royal family stuff? Aye - ceremonial stuff. Rest of life will go on apart from the day of the funeral where places may be expexted to close for a bit.

I know she was fabulously rich but I don't envy her the job - especially during the past 30 years or so. At a time when most of us (including me) are enjoying a long retirement she carried on with the job. It can't have been easy having to make small talk with the likes of Donald Trump and Boris Johnson - I wouldn't have enjoyed that.
RIP Ma'am Thanks for a job well done - over virtually all of my lifetime.

A very sad day Indeed, as I got older I began to respect her more and more for her great sense of duty and steadfastness in the face of all thrown her way, mostly by her family members.

Sorry for the family loss, as I would be for an old woman up the road, but what has it got to do with me?

A truly wonderful Christian woman. A fine example of how a strong Christian faith can be lived out even in the glare of the public light. Rest well in heaven Lilybet. Thanks for writing this Daniel

RIP Ma'am Thanks for a job well done - over virtually all of my lifetime. I've never quite understood the fascination and devotion to the Royal Family but I completely agree with this. The woman has given 96 years of her life in service to us and the Commonwealth, something she never asked for but still did with grace and dignity that the majority of us would struggle to do, especially with people like Trump and Johnson. She's had a hell of a lot to deal with in the past couple of years and it'd take it's toll if she was a young, healthy person, let alone a frail person in their 90s. RIP.

I couldn’t think of a more horrid life, being born one of the most famous people alive and destined to become the most famous with 0 say in the matter but scrutiny on every minute detail of your public existence. I far rather take my chances being born in the slums.
