In this day and age where exactly are the best countries to Immigrate to?
There is so much to consider these days from health care to climate change that its a difficult question to answer.
A few years back I'd have said Canada or Australia but I'm not so sure now. New Zealand is obviously a good shout too however its also a very expensive place to live so feel it's not really realistic for most of us.
Scandinavia maybe?
The more I think about climate change too, I can't help but feel that Ireland is probably nearly as good as anywhere right now. Cheaper housing (outside of main cities), decent health care, similar culture, low population density, better climate than most etc..

Seems to be a popular choice. I'd go for Canada providing you don't need to work.

I’d like to move to Romania, apparently it’s around 30 years behind the U.K. which would be perfect😀

Depends if it's to work, start a business or retire.
Retirement wise Portugal looks good.

There are many fascinating places to visit off the beaten track in north and central Portugal. Try and learn a few basics of the language - not one of the easiest language to learn. I found the people lovely and wanting to please. There are one or two rough area in Lisbon but otherwise I love the place.

Do you mean the same Ireland I know or another one in a parallel universe ? Only Hollywood stars buy houses in rural Ireland these days as their great Grandfather was from Aberdeen in Ireland

Only Hollywood stars buy houses in rural Ireland these days as their great Grandfather was from Aberdeen in Ireland I guess for me, I'm 30, so I need to sort of think about the next 50 years (if I'm lucky). And due to that climate plays a big part. I think Irelands is quite good especially from a longer term perspective. From an economical pov though I wouldn't put it up there. But I think someone would have greater prospects and quality of life moving to Ireland than London for example. You may earn more in London but it comes at a huge expense, and I can't think of anything worse than being bunged up in a tiny flat in a concrete jungle during warm summers.

Very hard to find work there to be honest . I know 3 who have moved to Asia in the last 2 years to teach. If you can secure work then a lovely place to live...Dublin aside. Bunch of weirdos

I’d like to move to Romania, apparently it’s around 30 years behind the U.K. which would be perfect😀 That genuinely made me laugh, bravo! Germany, Netherlands or the Scandi countries have got it mostly right. We're going backwards ie more like the States.

The options are few and far between these days but I’d probably look at somewhere like New Zealand as an option, friend of mine emigrated there about 5 years ago and said there’s no way he’d come back, seems annoyingly happy every time I speak to him😉. Another bonus being he reckons they are 30 years behind the U.K. also which is another perk. All being said I still think we are lucky in this country to have the life most of us do and despite the deterioration in just the last 3 years or so I still live in some sort of hope things can still change but time is running out. My old boss bought a house near Chernobyl about 10 years ago, rather him than me👀

UK.
Loads of freebies and handouts courtesy of the British tax payer and a left wing media that will welcome you with open arms.
If you aren't bothered about freebies and handouts and being put on a pedestal and value freedom and good mental and physical health and nice weather and a happy population then definitely not the UK

All of the happiness indices put most of northern Europe ahead of the UK, so they're clearly getting things right in ways that we're not. We rank about the same level as the States which isn't all that surprising since we're resembling them more and more with every passing year.

It makes sense, we’ve always had far more in common with the US than Europe, well in recent history anyway. In my experience there is so much to enjoy about America, it can be a wonderful place, but the unpleasant side which unfortunately has transmitted to our shores is a huge reason our culture is so desperately depressing.

Yep, which makes it more disappointing that we've turned away from Europe and their ways of doing things and towards the States. People will get more pissed off, not less, if we continue to import their ways of doing things.
