Anyone got Lila? I’m struggling with a strict NAT setting and I can’t figure out how to portforward on the router. They have offered to set me up on a public network for an extra 6 quid a month but somebody must have figured it out.

If they use carrier grade Nat which I presume they do, then Nat will be performed at the ISP layer which effectivly means port forwarding won't work for you.
Now if their gateway supports PCP which is a newer standard in networking and the successor to Nat-pmp, and the networking equipment you've been provided also supports PCP then port forwarding can hypothetically work. I get the impression they may not support this though?
Came across this article where someone had a similar issue and were provided a static public ip for free. I suspect this may now be what they're charging extra for now though. https://www.reddit.com/r/lilaconnect/comments/txqb7k/almost_three_months_in_impressions/
Seems to be a popular in Stoke so maybe someone else will know more. I'm not a networking expert myself.

No idea what a Lila is.

The Carrier Grade NAT means that your IP address is shared with others on their network, because there is no unique provisioning, they can't map an open NAT to you, hence the shitty Carrier Grade NAT. There *may* also be a provisioning policy in place on the supplied router which runs instructions supplied by Lila.
See if you can get the static IP for free from them, and I'd recommend using a third party router and switching the Lila router (Zyxel?) to modem mode. You'll still be able to game with strict NAT but the matchmaking times are going to be a pain the arse, and things such as connecting to a Plex Media Server might well be a no go remotely.

Stupidly it’s only cropped up since I upgraded my pc had no noticeable issues until last week. I’d tried the modem mode but it was no better and caused issues for my lad so we switched it back and used the other modem as a range extender which was great. Then I brought a new pc and it’s gone tits up. My lad says he will pay the six quid so looks like it will be the easier route. I’m still saving 50 quid a month compared to virgin and that was dog shit round here

I have ordered Lilaconnect , will be fitted late June. does the stanbdard telephone line become redundant? Presumably landline phone can be connected VOIP? Any info will be useful if anyone can/wants to share their experience. TIA

Any info will be useful if anyone can/wants to share their experience. TIA That’s right, Full Fibre broadband uses VOIP for your landline, so most providers have you plug your phone into your router instead of the phone socket. Essentially your phone socket gets switched off and nothing will work when plugged in as the phone line is delivered over your internet connection.

What was the procedure for installing the cable from the pavement to the house? Simple if its a terraced but my garden is 3 feet above the pavement with a garden wall and then another small wall at the top of the garden with a paved walkway between that and the exterior wall. Do Lilaconnect set up the router and give instructions on use etc.?

Apologies I don’t have Lila but I have a little bit of knowledge on the subject after I had Openreach Full Fibre installed last year - I didn’t need any digging though as the fibre cable just routed around my house. I would imagine they would do some sort of survey ahead of your install day so they know what they are dealing with? I wouldn’t have thought they would just rock up on the day and just start routing the cables - perhaps worth a call to them to at least let them know your garden isn’t exactly straight forward? Again for the router, my assumption is the engineer should leave you with internet up and running so should include some basic router setup. I would think the router itself would come with a guide too.

Lila have connection boxes on the pavement at edge of the property and presumably connect from there lay the cable the best route to the property.

Lila have connection boxes on the pavement at edge of the property and presumably connect from there lay the cable the best route to the property. I watched the openreach enginner at the time, they used what I assume is pre existing ducting underground for the old phone line and pulled the fibre cable through from the box at the end of the street. After that they just clipped it to the side of the house round to where it comes into the living room. Given that’s openreach property Lila can’t use it so have to dig and lay their cabling (a bit like what Virgin do I guess)
