The bit at the end was great when he said something like "the media are trying to paint things out to ways their not and you're trying to build a narrative" the journo shit himself and said "no no I'm not trying to say that"

Thought the same. He shows good intent and certainly won't take anyone not willing to put in the hard yards on the pitch. Win tomorrow and it could be a great springboard for the rest of the season

Did mention the injuries and only had two days training so not expecting miracles but over the next two/ three months gives me great hope

He’s been unbelievably savvy in his answers, to a level that’s opened my eyes to just how savvy you need to be.

And also he raises a good point that the squad isn't shaped (albeit not helped by injuries) perfectly for every formation and so there will still be players playing out of what would be their primary position.

So far, team oriented, talent is secondary, hard work comes first. Players should come off the pitch knowing they have given everything in which case fans will get behind them. Suit style to the players I have not expect them to change to managers style. Football is about winning games.
All the right things said, refused to be drawn into criticising former club.
Talks the talk and ticks all the boxes, just need to see it on the pitch. We need to be a little patient whilst players adapt, trying desperately not to get over excited (and failing)

Picking a formation that suits the players. That feels refreshing!

What we've needed for a long time.....someone who knows what hes doing. I like that he plays to players strengths and can play in different ways....plans A B & C I think hes more than talk

After watching Neil’s first training session I think I witnessed more effort and teamwork in 6 minutes than I have in the last 2 years, the players actually began to understand the theory of one touch football ! Miraculous 🙏🏽

Pretty clear message. We have good players but they need to work harder. Damned right.

He’s been playing 3 CBs with Sunderland.
