The midfield were a big problem there, Thompson and Clucas shouldn't be in the same midfield. At the back we looked so slow. Really worrying The 3 in midfield needs to be Baker, Kilkenny and Smallbone. Brown on right, Gayle on left. Need a right back so Wilmot can move into middle.

Odd game. The problems are obvious - poor defence and midfield - but from the currently available squad, there's bugger all Neil can do about them. We had more shots, way more corners, just one fewer shot on target, yet loads here were falling over themselves to say how poor we were. The game I saw was pretty even and could have gone in our favour on another day. If Gayle could head. If Flint's head wasn't square. Have we really not seen an open game of football in so long we've forgotten what one looks like? OK start for me, with work to do. Don’t agree, persisting with Clucas is suicidal Smallbone made a big difference when he came on and Fosu at least runs at them

We looked better once they took Cooper off.
Settle for a point but Thompson and Clucas are useless, without doubt we have the best forward line in this division but one of the worse starting midfields tonight.

Well rescued point.
Shame we couldn’t have got a new manager result as Sunderland did. Have to be winning games against teams like the Swans as well.

Wilmot in CDM/ RCB for me. He's an okay emergency RB but he's clearly central focused.

another day and that could have been 3-4 or 4-3
I think Neil has the raw material to turn us around (and he will do it) but it wont be easy for him

Very poor tonight and lucky to get a point.
Improved slightly second half but no point having 3 strikers if the players firing the ammunition consist of Clucas and Thompson.
Thought Smallbone, Tye and Fosu improved us when they came on.
Cant help thinking when we have our best players come back we'll be twice the side and results will come but till they do it'll be a bumpy ride.
That central 3 needs to change next game unless we want more of the same. I just dont see what Clucas contributes he's invisible all game.
Hats off to Bonham I think he's a lot better than people give him credit.
If we are looking to improve tomorrow we have to bring in a DM like the guy from Celtic and a CB as Taylors pace really worries me.

I think Taylor is an excellent young player but both him and flint together means we can't squeeze up the pitch at home because we are just too flat and slow.

A lot of strolling around still, very little urgency.
I’d start Campbell over Gayle next match.

How did Clucas stay on for the entire game??.. Perplexing and perturbing, he offers nothing and gives the ball away cheaply far too often

Another steady performance from Bonham. We lose that with Bursik in goal We also lose that with MON in the dugout

Wilmot in the middle improves us, he can carry the ball forward at pace, at least we had way more intent tonight than before,as a neutral it must have been one hell of a game to watch..

Our midfield is garbage, we're crying out for Powell to come back.
On the plus side, we'd all probably take 4 points from 2 games. Be lovely to get a result at Reading, but you never know with this fucking club.

His left foot was terrible today, and he hasn't got the guile to cut inside. But stick Campbell on the left, surely. He's actually left footed. IF he gets back to his best he can win a lot of games for us.

Got to be a long time since there’s been so many shots from both sides in one of our games.
Thought we just about deserved a point - plenty of work for Neil to do but think we’ll improve massively once some of the injured players come back.

probably one of the worst teams to prepare a team against as new manager, very unique setup that Swansea have.
Thought it was mainly shit first half after going behind. Second half, same until the subs but we still created enough to get back in it, but by christ we look vulnerable at all times.
edit: the subs really worked, Fosu was excellent and the other two got the goal

That was actually enjoyable. It didn’t feel hollow. Subs made the difference. Not perfect and lots to work on but Jesus it was nice to enjoy a game.

Deserved at least a point out of that. Ref was bloody shocking again.
In the prem they now let the game go and use multi ball. In the championship it's stop start from the ref and 1 ball inside the stadium.

We had a right go in the 2nd half and had 20 efforts on goal and missed some sitters

Yes, on the basis of that I think he should get his pal in from Celtic, we've got loads of midfielders, none of whom can just sit in and show some composure, Baker is trying to do it all himself
