He's a Championship Pieters, reliable defensively but if you want something going forwards,ya get frustrated.

I don't really know what people have against him. He's fine at full back.

I have always thought he looks fine in a back 4. Doesn't mean he hasn't had the odd bad game, he wouldn't be playing for us if he hadn't, but he is a good Championship left back.

"We havent got the personel to play a back four" Less players in the defence out of position than last week.

I thought Fox, Flint and Bonham all did really well today and shined when needed.

Good game from him. He’s a decent enough left back, always been a shit LCB.

He was average to good at left back in the behind closed doors season but suffered through no fans being there to see it, meaning his reputation for most was forged playing in a position that doesn’t suit him.
I’d rather have Tymon there for his attacking threat but as an unglamorous squad player we could do much worse than Fox if we’re going to play with a back four.

Just don't get why O'Neill kept on insisting that we don't have the players to play 4-3-3???
Crazy, and it cost him!!!

Excellent today as were the 2 CBs just shows what happens if players are just left to defend and play it simple. An extra CB confuses things for me. I think we may have found ourselves a LB. I know Wilmot made a few mistakes but when he went off we looked worse for it. Fose should be cover for wide in the front 3 from now on.

Played well. He’s solid enough if just left in charge of his basic defensive duties only.

He still does nothing for me at all. He’s ungainly and awkward in possession. If we’re going flat back four Clarke will need to play right back I guess but I have massive doubts around Fox. It was backs to the wall defending but it was only because of our two centre backs that we weathered the storm. It all came down the flanks. We pulled a result from nowhere but in spite of, not because of, Fox. A season of Morgan Fox is not something to wish for.

He is a fullback not a wingback!

More muddled thinking.

I was still backing him at the start of the season but it seems like he lost the plot in the end. 100% he would have still lined up 532 today and we would have lost with another lacklustre performance.

Can easily rotate with Tymon at left back in games where we need to be more defensive. That also offers Tymon the option to try left wing as well.

First job Mr Neil - get us a hard man in midfield that we have been craving* for over two years - known fact Stoke have been piss poor in midfield - need to get back to a bit of steel in there lads instead of pussy footing players like Powell, Clucas - need to get stuck in with a pressing game

I don’t think so, O’Neil stated he wasn’t interested in that kind of player. He just signed a glut of number 8’s. I think one would be beneficial
