One that gets headlines like this: “10 man <insert team name here> get another ugly win away at <insert brutalized bruised and terrified team here>”.
That’ll do me. Any more?

Does it have to be ugly and brutal? Can we really not have 'free-flowing City pass <insert team name > into oblivion?

I’d love a young calm manager who’s a good coach and a thinker like Potter or Cooper. Jones was a little too excitable for me. Someone who has fresh ideas and isn’t afraid of shaking things up.

A manager that has a silver tongue that can get the FA to drop the FFP. Now then.

No leaders, no creators, no heroes Goalkeeper and the back line are an issue but once players return from injury we'll have a nucleus of: Tymon, Wilmot, Souttar, Kilkenny, Laurent, Baker, Fosu, Powell, Smallbone, Delap, Brown, Campbell, Gayle. If Clarke and McCarron fulfil their potential and with Thompson as decent DM cover, that's a group of players that should be more than capable of finishing in the top 10.

Someone who the players respect, and would run through brick walls for, and for that to translate onto the pitch, would do me.

I want: winning football, attractive football (ideally with exciting winger or two), young players brought through, clever players, hard as nails players, players doing their job/switched on, never say die attitude, team that can grind out a 0.00 or a 1.0 win when up against it, team that can put someone away for lots of goals when playing someone weak, team that doesn't fuck up against small clubs in cups, team that is very hard to beta at home but still wins away
in short I wants everything!
we won't get everything, just want a side can believe in

With everyone back and available I'd say Top 10 was underwhelming myself. My concern is a chunk of the season will have passed by before we have the luxury of choosing.

Someone that wants to play high energy pressing football. Sick to death of our players ambling around the pitch.

Someone who can train players without half of them getting injured.
Someone who has a style that people on here generally want to see (possession based), but is willing to switch it up to something else when it doesn’t work.
Someone who sorts out our throw-in/corner issues.
Someone who is still interested in providing a good pathway for young talent.

How can anyone long for dour, shit football? Only at Stoke 😀 It's similar to when long term prisoners become institutionalised and can't handle outside life, some Stoke fans are so reliant on the smothering comfort blanket of a Pulis, Megson or O'Neill type that the thought of Stoke playing progressive football makes them nervous.

I’d also like to see a manager operate the high press.
In my opinion, there is little difference between watching our team, or the oppositions team pass it around their centre back for 20 mins per game. The high press does at least inject some energy into this awful league.

I'd like to see someone slightly unhinged.
Mr Sensible hasn't worked.
But then again Nathan Jones was crackers, howling at the moon, and that didn't work either.
What to do...
