Sparrow isn't a wing back. more of a wingback than Thompson mate… Problem is Sparrow can't defend, Thompson can. Thompson every time for me if those two are the options.

If he must persist with 3 at the back.
Bonham
Taylor Jags Wilmot
Brown Baker Thompson Fosu
DWP
Delap Gayle
"YOU WANT TO PLAY OUR TOP GOALSCORER AT RIGHT WING BACK" yes, yes I do. Gayle and Delap is clearly going to be the first choice partnership, by playing Brown at RWB (where he's played well for us before) we have two more natural wide men playing the wing back roles and it also means we can move Thompson inside where he gives the midfield balance and some bite.
DWP should be given the no.10 role, he's very similar to Bojan both in stature and ability on the ball, playing on the half turn. His future lies as a 10 / second striker in my opinion.

Bonham Taylor Flint Jags, assuming Wilmot is out gulp Fosu Baker Smallbone Kilkenny Sparrow, because Thompson is not a wing back DWP Brown But at least Thopson is a footballer! That’s debatable

Bonham in for Bursik. If he persists with Burisk agaun, chalk 1-0 to the homeside before kickoff.

I hope DWP becomes something like Bojan but the comparison is a stretch at this stage of his career. In Bojans breakthrough season he scored 1in2, followed by 1in3 for Barca, phenomenal at his age, younger than DWP at that time too I believe.

Bonham
Wilmot Taylor Jagielka Fox
Kilkenny Thompson
Brown Baker Fosu
Delap
We are truly disgusting at the back so two ratters in midfield. It’s a disaster what MON has created

If the manager wants to stick to five at the back, let's be a bit creative.
Bonham
Brown
Taylor Flint Wilmot
Clucas
Kilkenny Baker Smallbone
Delap Campbell
It would be a bit weird to put your top scorer in defence, but Brown started his career there and he would offer mobility, work rate and goalscoring threat. Clucas, meanwhile, had his best game for the club playing at left back against Derby under Rowett.

Bursik Taylor Flint Wilmot Fosu New LWB Baker Thompson Brown Delap Gayle New LWB has more chance of starting than Bursik. If he plays at the weekend then I’ve absolutely no idea what the manager watches on a match day

Bonham
Wilmott Jags Taylor Tymon
Baker Kilkenny
Fosu Smallbone Wright Phillip's
Delap
Imagine being able to bring on Campbell, Gayle, Brown at any point.
Up top it's an embarrassment of riches it really is and yet he still plays the most dour, negative shit I've seen.

An inevitable wing back system and an inevitable defeat is the only way I see this one going.
He’ll go with this if Baker is fit:
Bonham Taylor Flint Wilmot
Fosu Kilkenny Baker Smallbone Thompson
Brown Delap

Bonham
Wilmot Taylor Jags Fosu
Baker Thompson
Smallbone
Brown Delap Campbell
With DWP and Gayle to come on for Delap and Campbell at 60 mins
If one full back bombs on, the other sits and Thompson drops deep to cover. Width provided by Brown and Campbell cutting in and feeding Delap. Smallbone playing his playmaker/pivot role. Easy this management lark

I don't understand how anyone can agree with O'Neil putting Brown upfront. His tactics are already rubbish let alone understanding each players ability. And yes to me Campbell in starting 11 is a must.
