We have been exeperencing a downward trend, some ppl will say it was after the league cup semi v Liverpool Im not coming on here to put the blame in any direction, but for some reason we are still spirolling down I dont know whether its the manager or the players, you cant blame everything on the manager. But at the end of the day the manager helps to sign the players he wants. For me, the team is lacking bossy midfielders , and maybe additional defenders I kbow im talking shit but this is my opinion

We are a man light in midfield because of the system, so we appear lightweight in there. You can live with that if your wingbacks are good enough to make the system work, sadly our back-up WB’s are not suited to play there, despite being good players in their own right. No convinced by Taylor or Wilmot either. Taylor flatters to deceive and Wilmot cannot play on the left

To be fair to O'Neil, and this is just about the only thing in the credit column, I think he did stop the downward spiral that was threatening to take us rapidly into the third division after our relegation from the Prem.
Since then, we've just been bumping along aimlessly, going nowhere, neither upwards nor downwards.
