I'm painting the radiators and pipes in the hallway and in the kitchen today.
I have chosen to use a white colour, and not an antique white colour as 95% normally use for radiators and pipes.
However, some parts are not painted at all, the silvery parts that connects the pipes to the radiators, for instance. Should I paint these?
When a guy from the service team was here, he said: "those parts are new!" "No", I said. "Oh yes, they are, it shows". I didn't tell him I've removed the colour so it matched the other silvery parts next to the knob where you choose how warm the radiator can be.
Q: Are there any parts that I should avoid painting?

Just leave the fittings and valves mate.

The service man pointed to it down there and thought it was new since that part wasn't painted. In Sweden these lower valve parts are always painted. But it was done badly.

I like to avoid being in the kitchen during the game, so if I'm not ready by then, I'll continue at the pause and/or after.

Don’t think there’ll be anything more interesting happening during that period👍🏻

I've cleaned the one in the hallway and most of the kitchen radiator.
Will put some tape and plastic up after the game. Then use the rust protective white primer paint on certain parts. Especially on the pipes in the hallway.

Is it just me or can you look at the thread subject and just know it's a Musik one without having to look at who started it?

Reminds of a letter to Viz…
Dear the makers of Dulux ‘Once’. I think the word you are looking for is ‘Twice.’

Always best to have a professional in if your worried about your ‘upper knob and attachment parts’ I feel.

Then today the waterbased white colour on all parts except the knob and it's attachment parts. Second layer in within two hours to come.

Hopefully a nice gloss to make it stand out. I had to reschedule the second painting with the semi-gloss white paint to Thursday at daytime or Friday morning, due to various reasons. One of them is you can't turned the radiator in the kitchen off, so in the late evening and during the night it get's a little bit warm, since we're reaching September soon. A radiatior should be cold when being painted. The knobs in the hallway and the rooms do work though.
