Fashion a rudimentary harpoon out of things you have lying around in your garage and learn to hunt rats in supermarket carparks and the alleyways behind any remaining takeaways that are not forced out of business due to 'disposable income' not being a thing anymore. If you get reasonably adept at this practice then Christmas can be saved by substituting the traditional turkey with a 'Three Rodent Roast' served with gutter moss trimmings and the remnants of a half-eaten Freddo* that you sucked off a trucker to obtain as desert. *2023 RRP £39.99 Yep Thats what did it. Went back and the ‘Three Rodent Roast’ was what set me off.

All those rats I've trapped, killed and chucked over the fence this summer. Neighbours not getting any more free food. You can take a badger down if you craft something with a larger diameter shaft and barbed arrowhead.

When you've finished washing up take the lukewarm bowl of water and pour it over your partner/children to warm them up slightly. They will thank you for your thoughtfulness.

Re-use shoes and coats instead of throwing them away after wearing them once.

Re-use shoes and coats instead of throwing them away after wearing them once. The same applies to your bed - it can be used at least three times before getting a new one!

I swear by Hot Deals UK & Quidco. I've had nearly 1200 quid cashback from Quidco in 6 years, all from buying stuff I'd buy anyway, car insurance, broadband, hotels etc. I never buy anything online without checking Quidco first.

Don't buy shit that you don't need just to keep up with the Jones's . Cancel subscriptions to things like YouTube premium, take it on the chin and watch the adverts, you can skip them after ten seconds or so anyway . Don't let your car insurance auto renew and put an older driver on the policy as a named driver , usually brings your policy price down. Dont leave the lights on if you aren't in the room. Walk to the shop instead of driving, saves fuel . Have a shower at work after your shift , saves water . Common sense stuff really Re Youtube I use Opera mini on my phone and it blocks all the pre-ads Only ones that get through are made as part of the content

Remember Beat before is just that ignore it its only talking about quality most have shelf lives years later On use by you have at least 3 days on product as a time period is built in to stop legal action Lidl do a 150 box of fruit and veg box but these are limited and usually first thing in the morning Morrisons I believe do a wobbly range alot cheaper And check your local market some great bargains Never throw honey out. They found jars of the stuff in Egyptian tombs that were still edible after 1000s of years! If clear honey crystallises warm it in boiling water and it reverts back

I know it sounds stupid but I have started to think about these things; If you are making two cups of instant coffe, only put two and a bit cups of water in the kettle and TURN IT OFF BEFORE IT BOILS. May only be a few pence over 12Months but better in our pockets than the money grabbing energy companies. Boil the kettle full for your morning brew then add the rest to a flask. Free hot water for hours instantly I make a flask of coffee every morning. Started to take it to work and now do it at home too

I'm still reaping the benefits of telling the wee lass Santa died from Covid back in 2020 and a suitable heir is yet to be found.
Don't envy her mum having to tell her Rabbit Flu has taken out the Easter bunny if it's a particularly harsh winter either.

Start using a Slow Cooker instead of the oven. Considerably cheaper to run.

Yes perfect for cheaper cuts and stewing steak etc.
I regularly play golf on Sunday mornings. Loads of veggies and onion etc together with the choice of the day.
Turn it on as I go out about 0900 am and return home mis afternoon and dinner is ready. 🤪

Anybody got an air-fryer oven? Any advice, some are like rocking horse shit to find particularly the Ninja ones. We’ve been looking at the Tower range as considerably cheaper and don’t want to spend much more that £130 as it negates the economy. The Tower 10 piece currently £127 on Amazon but 3 week wait. Any advice welcome.

My mates down on your site have told me some very “interesting” stuff about your obsession with nocturnal land mammals👀

Might have some bits left over from my last attempt at a sheep trap, lots of the blighters here in rural Wales 👍

Always remember that a dog is not just for Christmas.
If you're adept at carving you should easily make it last to Boxing day whilst boiling it's bones in a pressure cooker and adding seasoning could provide you with a tasty stock to see you through to New Year's Eve.

When filling your car up at the petrol station, simply drive off once you're done. This handy tip will save you the entire cost of the fuel you've put into your vehicle. Fake plates, £10, from 'Asian Dave' round the corner from me 😐 * I do not condone illegality

Only buy a Pumpkin on alternate Halloween’s.☠️
On the year that you do buy one, USE IT to make food instead of putting it on the compost heap!🙁

Don't leave the shower running while you apply shower gel/shampoo etc. Try to avoid using the tumble drier. Avoid the more expensive supermarkets.

Cancel your Netflix subscription. If it weren't for young people spending a tenner a month on Netflix they'd all be on the property ladder and raising families.

This is something that actually covers a few bases. I’ve always struggled with soap/shower gel and my skin - it just doesn’t agree with me at all. After a holiday to Greece earlier this year I discovered olive oil based soap bars and haven’t looked back since. They are incredibly cheap, last far longer than soap bottles and way better environmentally as no plastic bottles.
I’ve worked out that in my house and how often we used to replace soap, it works out as about 15kg worth of empty bottles every year in the bin!
Cost wise, it’s about £8-£10 quid a month I’m saving when you factor in having to buy soap bars. It’s not a lot granted but it’s actually a big hitting change that I never considered.

I’ve started having two meals a day, breakfast/brunch at 11 and tea at 7 roughly. Not sure if it’s good for me but it’s saving some pennies and I got used to it after a week or so. It started as a convenience thing but then noticed it was saving a fair bit of money, probably up to £100 a month
