Everyone I know is spouting doom and gloom. I went to hearts and we were awful. I watched Milwall live last week and we were awful. Is anyone out there with a heart full of joy thinking"it's going to be great tomorrow???"

Me. Am I expecting a rousing performance, nope. But a few sherbets with the lads, check my fantasy league team and my coupon.
Football is back. These days it's more of a social thing for me. Don't go overboard if win and not hysterical when we lose I'm definitely looking forward to it.

I always look forward to it and close the front door full of hope no matter what’s gone on prior …The day that stops is the day I call an end to it
Stoke City is all about following the not so good times with a small smattering of good times and the whole day around it
If anybody wants the opposite I believe Manchester City still have tickets available for their first home match

So while I'll hope for a good win tomorrow just like everyone else, and will be delighted if we get it, it's not going to move the needle in terms of my expectations for this season and beyond. In that sense it's just a drawn-out, rather depressing waiting game.

Oh believe me O’Neill has kicked my stuffing out also but every match I leave the house hoping the good times will start when the match kicks off The manager situation is a different subject altogether

I'm looking forward to going out out in Stoke before having few pints with friends. Getting to the game to speaking to regular people around me again. Watching the game is just part of a day out.

Me. It's the first Saturday matchday dinner of the season for me. Steak, mushrooms, egg, tomato, beans and a baked potato followed by pudding and custard. A good chat with my footballing mates who I haven't seen since the end of last season, and if the worst comes to the worst, the chance to sleep off my dinner for a couple of hours! (At my age the afternoon nap is still (just about) an optional extra. )

I’ve just read MON press conference for tomorrow. I’m not in the O’Neil out camp for now but he doesn’t do himself any favours by saying a positive from last week is we went to Millwall and gave them a game! We were atrocious! The only positive for me is we didn’t lose by more than 2.

As my posting name suggests I refuse to get overly downhearted if things don't go according to plan.
I'm looking forward to yet another emotional roller coaster following my beloved SCFC, my 57th season and counting. I've seen better, I've seen worse, but there's nothing that will stop me following those Jekyll & Hyde - like Mighty Potters.
UTMP!!

I’ll be there but it feels more like a chore than a pleasure. Hope I’ll be pleasantly surprised

I love matchdays. Sometimes the game itself is secondary to everything else, and that’s fine.

I've taken them up on the discounted ticket offer and i'm bringing my lad to his first game. Could be a masterstroke, or could be a disaster. Just hope he enjoys the experience

I am looking forward to it for sure, doom and gloom about Delap but there is enough in Campbell, Brown and Gayle to knock Blackpool over surely

Al least it clashes with tomorrow's live cricket so there will be something to stream.

crumb of comfort everyone
my brother missed 15 games last season (home & way league & cup) Stoke won 11, drew 3 & lost just the one (Reading away) which given we finished bottom half is some achievement he's on holiday tomorrow
