I see IFK Göteborg vs IFK Norrköping, a game in our swedish highest division, Allsvenskan. 1-0 at half time.
But the interesting part is my thoughts on a player who could play anywhere on the pitch equally good. The hometeam had such a player once. His name was Magnus Erlingmark.
Defender, Midfielder, Forward. He played on every position, all 10! I'm not 100% sure he played as a goalie at one point in a single game, but I think so. I could come back to that.
Erlingmark played in our National Team. Became third in the Euro Champs, took the World Cup bronze in 1994. Plus four times won the Allsvenska.
He has a son named August. He plays now in the Greece Super League for Atromitos, mainly as a defensive midfielder.
I wonder if he goes in his father's steps ... if asked, available to play in any position on the pitch? 🤔
Wouldn't it be a dream come true signing? 🤠

The game ended 2-0 btw.
I wonder how much O'Neill let them practice different positions on the pitch.

Who was that Swedish player with the long throw we were linked with back in the PL days?

Did he leave his Erlingmark on the game?

Who was that Swedish player with the long throw we were linked with back in the PL days? I've searched, both inside my brain and online, but I can't remember such a player ... However, these days - if we want a long thrower - "Mad dog" Knudsen, a danish guy playing for Malmö FF, is the one to go for!

Born 1988, played for Kalmar FF with his brothers, went to Alkmaar and CSKA Moscow when he played abroad. I remember Sport News on TV when they said he must leave Russia since he has Celiaki (gluten intolerance) since they have very little knowledge about this auto immune disease there. He returned and ended his career in Kalmar FF at 31.

I met Magnus in 1995 on a trip to the training ground age 14 along with the rest of the vintage ‘95 IFK team, and was presented with tickets to watch them play against Legia Warsaw in the Champions League qualifiers the same week. Then in 2018 I made a trip to watch Blåvitt again at AIK but found out on arrival that morning that the game had been postponed due to match fixing allegations. Once again I was taken over to the training ground by my host to watch the players train. There was a media presence due to the news of the scandal and they got wind of the Englishman who had travelled over. I was subsequently interviewed by the Goteborg Post and appeared in the next day’s edition! The players and manager then heard about it and invited me to meet them all, including August Erlingmark who I told about meeting his Father 22 years previously, have a tour of the facilities, have lunch with the players and I ended up with a signed shirt and Tobias Hysen’s (Glen’s son) signed boots along with unforgettable memories. Great club and for sure Magnus was a great player. Found a link to the article where I got Stoke City a mention www.gp.se/sport/fotboll/supporterns-osannolika-otur-mitt-hj%C3%A4rta-fick-sig-en-t%C3%B6rn-1.4290829
