He can have all the money in the world buts what the point if you do not know how to spend it wisely which he certainly does not. He also does not have a clue how to run a football club & should employ someone who does. The longer this mess continues with Mon in charge the harder its going to be to get out of it he Coates needs to act this week.

Does he have the bottle to sack someone? He is no Denis,if she was in charge O'Niell would be long gone. If she was in charge we'd be playing Sunday league football by now.

John Coates needs to hand over all his money to someone who knows what they are doing, then piss off. Yes and they'll spend it wisely, oh shit sorry we can't spend it can we, with the greatest will in the world and wealth why can't you see they could have trillions in the bank and they can't do anything with it.

There were plenty on here who were delighted with the appointments of Rowett, Jones and O’Neill.
The family then supported these managers to the hilt.
The only criticism I would level at Jon Coates is he gives his managers too much time when things are going badly. However, this could be deemed as loyalty which is an admirable quality.

Interesting comment by Robbie Earle on Man Utd after losing 4-0 to Brentford. What you see on the pitch mirrors how the club is run. He played for the Vale so he would know!

It seems as though JC has more control these days following Scholes departure as CEO (King is COO) and Alex Aldridge not being replaced and still no sign of a Director of Football.
For me until he gets the right people around him and steps away from footballing matters we will never progress as he doesn't appear to have a clue about football or the associated strategic elements that come with it.

Arnautovic is an intense person and he must have spoken to the owner before his move to West Ham hence his remark "this club lacks ambition".
Indeed.

Yeah ok we signed Dwight Gayle on the cheap every other club in the division could have had him for peanuts but fucked him off. FGS it’s one of the most expensive deals in the championship this Summer.

WHAT………….?????You think we will finish 14th? Oh my oh my oh my, how lucky are we???? And by the way, that’s exactly what I am doing, I am using a 90+ game sample and we are finishing 14th best. You might be over the moon with that, a lot of us aren’t. Your post suggests you are happy clapping all the way to the dizzy heights of 14th. The keeper is the least of our issues! When did I say I’d be happy with it? I was making the point that that’s what the previous performance would suggest. Don’t forget that was a response to you saying we’ll be relegated! If I’m a happy clapper then you are modern day PHW. As it stands I wouldn’t be happy with 14th, but like I said above, if we get a keeper in I think we’ll be top 10, and with another striker in and some time to gel I think we could make the playoffs. Understand that this is my OPINION, I may be right, I may be wrong - exactly the same as you. You're entitled to your opinion. And I'm entitled to say that it's bollocks based on nothing more than wishful thinking and supposition.

Loyalty is admirable, but there’s an unintended darker side to it if being overly loyal to MON leads to the entire atmosphere turning toxic and the manager being hounded out. He was a broken man 6 months ago and should’ve been relieved of his duties before the end of the season. Or as soon as the season ended. The decision not to act might lead to us all having to live through some dark days that could’ve been avoided. MON seems a good man; I don’t think he’s close to being good enough but I do like him, and now fear we’re hurtling towards a scenario where the support turn on him en masse and force the chairman to act. And for him personally, if he does lead us into a relegation battle then it’s a blotch on his CV and a traumatic experience that could’ve been prevented had the board not been blinded by their loyalty towards him. Sometimes, being cruel truly is the kindest option.

If she was in charge we'd be playing Sunday league football by now. Explanation needed of how you came to that assumption? She has no interest in football, thinks it's a waste of time, and would have no idea what to do tactically or any other ally. She'd get us relegaated five times in five years. Incidentally she is in charge of the finances, she just indulges Jon and Peter every time.

Jon’s leadership is being tested here - the hardest decision is often choosing the right moment to let an underperforming person leave.

Funny enough both their loyalty values and indisputable position don’t help that if thre was a serious risk to them i think they’d jump quicker but I expect hm to be in charge for both games next week and then their hand will be forced by gravity

Wedged ✅ Local Owners ✅ Can't spend because of FFP ✅ Risk of breaking FFP because we've absolutely twatted stupid amounts of cash away on total shite over the last 5 years ✅ It's fucking mental but much of it is completely of our own making

If it wasn't for ffp though they could carry on spunking until their heart was content. Unfortunately the scales have been tipped so far that you need Saudi money to even consider threatening the status quo. Jack Walker would barely make a ripple these days!

John Coates is obviously the new Tony Scholes on here it seems. Imagine making the decision makers accountable. I think how much of a block on things Scholes was off the pitch has already been highlighted with what we’re doing within months of the new bloke being appointed. Makes me believe the stuff about him micromanaging everything was true.

So yeah, we agree to disagree

The easier decision may be to sack him to appease the fans. The harder decision may be to keep him because you (mistakenly?) believe in what he is trying to do and what he has achieved in the past. I am happy for events to take their course. If MON goes next week, before the WC break or even stays on then I will accept it. I don't share the doom of many on this board. Do I think we will finish mid-table under MON? Possibly. Do I think we will be in a relegation dogfight? Unlikely. Top 6 = as likely as relegation. We played ok today - not great, but ok. We should have won the game. 3pts and we are in the top six and the mood would be drastically different on this MB. I think we should give it another 10 games before we make any decision but happy for JC to make any decision in any timeline that he sees fit.
